I’m not trying to bash autotune, or post production, or anything that can assist an artist complete the vision they have in their head, because they should be able to use the tools available. That being said, it’s the little things, and the imperfections, that we obsess over and ultimately love. The squeals. The unwanted feedback. The slightly flat vocal note. Music is a feeling, and should be treated as such. Alright, I’m off my soapbox.

He does the same thing but lowered one whole octave. It's pretty hard to hit the higher notes also playing guitar and trying not to crack your voice. It's very decent I think.

The mixing is completely different, this is not about the singing. We can barely hear the vocal harmony that should be carrying the chorus. It's a sound crew problem.

@cliveklg7739 No but he's right. The studio recording's chorus vocal harmonies carry what a lot of people identify as the main melody. It's really hard to get a mix right live even at a big festival like this. The chorus mainly sounds a little off because the two background vocals are not loud enough in the mix to make it sound like the recording. It takes a ridiculously good singer to sing as well live as they did in the studio when they had as many takes as they needed, and yes some autotune. But his singing here is by no means bad

I feel like he auto tune his voice to hit certain notes and slightly change the pitch higher in his voice. Other than that he was able to sing within his real voice so it wasn’t too bad at all

Some people know how to use autotune to make the song sound better like Kanye. Autotune actually brings a whole different vibe if used correctly
