Thank you Nick on the water guide trick. Also I never asked venue to shut air off, thanks for that info as well. My shit was blowing away, what a rookie

Great video- I never plugged in first- since elements can burn out if no water is present- kind of like a water heater element- Glad how you pointed out on how the Nimbus will turn on as soon as it senses water. Awesome. Glad you mentioned about how it holds 10 pounds- also very important on how you also mentioned about the air inside the room. Once I had nimbus and door was open- I did not realize that wind was coming thru door- It was a bad effect- so know- I make sure doors are closed during NIMBUS. again awesome Video- I must say I learned-

Great tips! Don’t forget to have a sweeper with you too for condensation

Extra tips from using the nimbus after 8+ years: Fill the water until it barely reaches the bottom of the basket. For the power situation as long as you see rhe green light you can use it if the light turn off the water is warm enough. Regarding condensation set the machine a few feet away from rhe dancefloor and the condensation will end up in the carpet and not a hard surface. Also you dont need to have the machine plugged when used during the dance. Do not use a full bag of dry ice. That shocks the water too fast and the effects isnt optimal. Use 10lb approximately and youll notice rhe effect lasting the full song.

The person that thought to place the red light on the other side of where you pour the water is a genius

Definitely remember to have the HVAC turned off. I had to learn about that the hard way.

As long as the green light comes on 1 time, it's ok to use if it goes off. It turns back on because of the thermostat every few minutes. I also drop ice within a minute of the song starting. This gives photographers a chance to capture photos with and without it. To the first timers... it shouldn't have to be said, but NEVER plug the Nimbus in on the same circuit as your sound.

Hey Nick! Did you swap out the HDM45 over 8004 for the ART945 over 9004. Do the 9004 sound any different or is it just the addition of RDNet? Are the ART945’s louder? Best JB!

never seen that yellow line- I will look for it- I always tend to fill water just below the tray- as you can barely see a thin layer just under the basket that holds the ice

So just to recap.... all the issues I've seen with their being water residue on the dance floor, which is kept me from buying one of these, is that people do not use the proper water and dry ice? I just assumed that it was from the fog dissipating back into the air that caused the water to collect on the Dance Floor. Can you correct me if I'm wrong about this?

I just saw one mistake.......Nick use hot water..... it heats up faster...... HOT water! HOT Water. Especially when you're in a pinch and it keeps your coils from working harder uses less electricity ⚡️ with less of a change to blow a circuit.

I always use Hot Water- sometimes Hotel kitchens- there water comes out boiling- I love it- takes less time to heat up- speeds up to 30 min

Doesn’t matter if you’re filling it up at load in and placing it in the room hours before using it. Let’s face it - we load in before the ceremony and cocktail hour - almost 3.5 hours before that big first dance. The hot water will already be cold.
@louprimo6062
@louprimo6062 Жыл бұрын
@@traderpete007 sometimes you don’t get hours and makes no sense to use cold water. When you use hot water you’re conserving electricity and you’re prolonging the heater coils. Your machine will last longer.

you're working too hard. you dont need to plug it in plus not every where u go will have a readily available outlet. 2 ways u can fill it - 1) fill to the yellow line which is on the inside of every unit this is the actual way to do it 2) drop the tray and look at the heater, fill enough water to cover it, u can see it
