This was fantastic to watch! I would love to see a video covering the different MR2 models (AW11, SW20, ZZW30), I've always wanted to hear Mr. Tsuchiya's opinion on the AW11 model's midship platform with the shared 4AGE engine from the AE86 which he loves so much.

Awesome watch, I've owned the ND2 for 8 months now and it's been just absolute bliss even in through the winter on some winter tires. I even started to like and appreciate the body roll from the soft suspension setup.

I enjoy watching this great informative video, Mr. Tsuchiya driving these cars like Champs is one best things I have seen on KZfaq, he superb driver and you can tell watching him drive. Father figure of Manuals!

What a fantastic video! So much knowledge and experience from both Tsuchiya-san and Ohi-san! Driving a Mazda 2 1.5l, I would love to have a Roadster with the same engine, but sadly being 1.88m I can’t comfortably fit. One thing that surprised me, was that reading the driving report from Kurosawa-San in ＣＡＲトップ, he was very critical of Mazda’s suspension design and tuning. It would be interesting to know which should be the improving points for the ND :)

I love all the MX-5 models and I currently have an NA 91 but it is not in the best shape so I am hoping to buy an ND in the future. It was great to watch this video and hear their thoughts on the MX-5. I hope Mazda continues to make MX-5 models that retain the driving feel of the original. Also I love it when DK brings up why he likes handbrakes :D

start up emissions, that's the only reason why the usa has a 2.0l motor. gearing is another thing we have to change because highway speeds are way more higher and sustained over here. US customer demands road trips with small Japanese roadster.

Two things I get from the video is the guy who owns the Miatas has a man-crush on the host. First when he offers to touch his hand and then his desire to touch him when he talks about being too old to lift the top like he use to during his youth. Secondly I am quite disappointed they gave all the credit of the development to the MX-5 to just the Japanese but made no mention of American Bob Hall who to me is the Father of the Miata.

I've owned all models and driven the latest ND, my favourite aesthetically is the NA. followed by the ND, NB and NC being my least favourite and one to drive. I'd love to see Mazda continue with the smaller is better philosophy and they appear to be heading in the right direction with the ND. Just return the cars original curves and rid the sharpness of the front and rear end. Pop up light will probably never make a return but how about some classic circulars similar to the classic 356 Porsches ! Now that would be a beautiful design cue.👌

The door inst the same tone colour than the rest of the car. I wonder if they replace the door in the restoration or just paint it and dont match with the original paint. I love those underpowered cars. So fun drive it 3am in forest roads.

Engine are not getting smaller because ppl demand it. They are getting smaller because governments want to make sure ordinary citizens or subjects can't have big power cars that ruling class do.
