Tra le tante storie d'amore che ci sono state in 12 stagioni di Don Matteo, trovo che quelle di amore famigliare siano le più belle e le più significative. Il rapporto padre-figlio che si era instaurato tra Cecchini e Tommasi mi ha sempre toccato profondamente, ma quello tra il maresciallo e la capitana è davvero speciale. Pensare che all'inizio il nostro caro maresciallo aveva paura di conoscere il nuovo capitano. E faceva bene. Il capitano Olivieri aveva, però, solo bisogno di una spalla, di una figura paterna su cui poter contare per sciogliersi un po' e capire che non deve caricarsi da sola tutto il mondo sulle spalle. Le regole sono importanti per un Carabiniere, ma non bisogna dimenticare la propria umanità e, soprattutto, non bisogna mai sacrificare il proprio cuore. Questo Anna è riuscita ad impararlo già nella stagione 11 grazie a Marco e al maresciallo. Ma l'ha capito veramente solo in questa stagione. Cecchini ha perso una figlia e l'ha ritrovata in Anna, così come il capitano ha perso il suo papà e l'ha ritrovato nel maresciallo. E così, dalla paura di cambiare è nato l'amore più grande.
