This is a mental take, he was on loan mainly in league one whilst at Newcastle and not really pulling up any trees. He then left to a championship team where he struggled and sent on loan to league one. What were Newcastle supposed to do? Keep persevering with someone not good enough at the time for the championship?

Adam Campbell, Nile ranger, Haris vukic, Matty pattison all supposed to be the next top player out the academy and they never made it. Shame can only really think of Taylor, Ramage, Carroll who came out the academy who went on to have prem careers!

Played a couple games in the first team, was never good enough for the English Premier league, his stats when going out on loan again and again show he was nowhere near EPL.standard, played 93 games in the lower leagues and got 8 goals, remember that's in English league 1 and league ,2 aswell, not even championship level..

He has been a great servant for the club through the years. I wasn’t always a fan of him I’ll admit that but he grows on you. Many say that it’s the penalties but either way goal is a goal. Don’t see people complain much when a forward has tons of goals and a good percentage of them are from the spot. He has scored from various situations and continues to do so. Doesn’t matter what league it is done in, it’s still outstanding. Technically the most successful club in the world is…. (Can’t pronounce the name and don’t want to look) whether you like it or not though they are the most successful despite over 85% of the football fans around the world have no idea who they are. Personally see Tav retiring with Rangers, don’t see him going anywhere and due to his age I don’t think many clubs would want him. I’d rather keep him anyway though.
