Orthopedic surgeons have influence. You can't get insurance to pay for stem cell treatments until you've been properly butchered by a surgeon for a while. It's cheaper, less risky, with a negligible recovery time so why wouldn't that be the #1 choice in the standard of care? The problem is a lot of people invested time and money learning to cut you and by God, that's exactly what they're gonna do!

You hit the nail on the head with regards to our willingness to dismiss Russian studies out of hand just because it came from Russia. There have been tons of studies around racetams (piracetam, aniracetam, oxiracetam, etc) and their use in aiding cognition and even treating dementia but the West just ignores these studies. I'm not surprised to hear that we've done the same with their studies on peptides.

Go talk to your doctor. Black blah blah. If I was interested in getting this from a Dr I wouldn't be asking you on social media. You in the gym You wherever

I can only offer what we recommend, which is DNA health, which doesn't ship to the EU to my knowledge. You may be interested in an alternative that we have been using instead of BPC-157 as it works better. It's called StemRegen by Kalyagen, and it helps to increase release of your own stem cells from your body to help heal tissues. You can find link and discount code on our website, and they do ship to the EU! regenerativeperformance.com/supplements

@@DrewTimmermansNDthis supplement looks interesting. How can we know that this will release the amount of stem cells we need to heal, for instance, knee cartilage? Could this replace stem cell injections or infusions? Thank you
@DrewTimmermansND
@DrewTimmermansND Жыл бұрын
There's never been any published research on how many stem cells are required to be released from the bone marrow to go and heal knee cartilage, so there's no standard for us to compare it to. I don't know if it it could replace stem cell injections or infusions, seeing as the research is still very sparse in that area and there are no comparison trials. My guess is that this would not replace targeted stem cell injections

Hi Doc! Thanks for the video. I am based out of North Carolina and we are really limited in our clinics in my area. I am looking into stacking peptides (if qualified from blood work) rather than going the HRT route. First, can Cigna insurance cover this kind of treatment for low energy, weight loss, low T peptides. Second, can you serve patients remotely or do you only take in person clients? This is my last resort. I eat very good, solid 7 plus hours sleep, body fat in good range and weight train but am very low energy and sex drive. Thanks!

I think the 10th of the cost comes from not needing to be fda approved. It cost money to able to say it's for human consumption. On top of that cost then you have the pharmaceutical companies putting their up charge on top. Then finally you have the good ol insurance scam that aids in these companies charging so much when prescribed by a physician. Ultimately if a research grade company wasn't selling good product well they wouldn't last very long because nobody would continue to buy from them.
@DrewTimmermansND
@DrewTimmermansND Жыл бұрын
You are partially correct, but there's a lot of discrepancies here. First, the peptides are not FDA approved. They are produced in a facility that is GMP compliant, which means the FDA has inspected those facilities and they are sterile and up to code. Next, these peptides from compounding pharmacies are not made by a pharmaceutical company, so no pharmaceutical company is making money off compounded peptides. That's actually the reason why pharmaceutical companies are trying to shut down compounding pharmacies, because pharmaceutical companies don't make any money from a compounding pharmacy. Lastly, at the end of the day this is a risk benefit analysis that each person has to make. There are extreme horror stories of people being made very sick by contaminated peptides from research Labs online, which is something you do not see from compounding pharmacies because compounding pharmacies are GMP compliant and research labs are not, therefore the level of sterility and sterility testing from the research Labs is not up to par. We have seen several of these reactions when patients come in not doing well on their research grade peptides. So while most of the stuff that comes from a research lab Maybe good, there is a much higher risk of having contaminants, having a non-sterile product that can cause you harm, or frankly having counterfeit product. Those are not risks that you will see with an FDA regulated compounding pharmacy. So the end of the day, each person gets to choose to spend more money for decreased risk, or spend less money for increased risk. As a physician, I only recommend using peptides from GMP compliant compounding pharmacies.

@@DrewTimmermansND you make some very good points. I don't think it would be easy for someone like me to get prescribed such treatment for what I'm trying to accomplish but it's well noted the risk involved and going with the cheapest place was never my intentions. At the end of the day we just want to be healthy and maybe not have so much pain going into our later years. It's a shame it cost ridiculous amounts of money to remedy the effects of age when our working career still needs another 20 years.
