In Australia we had a legendary race car driver named Peter Brock, the majority of his victories were in Holden(gm Australian cars) ironically he died racing a Daytona replica.

In the 70s I could have bought a car made like that one for 500 bucks cause the guy didn't know what it was and neither did I...He bought a building that had it, and a 65chevy ss 4door hardtop, with a big block 4speed, and a 67 Ford Fairlane 500 with a big block. To this day I'd love to kick my butt for not buying the car that I thought was ugly, IT started, and run, and probably drove but we didn't like nothing about it, lol...He finally got rid of it and we fixed and ran the Chevy and Ford and he had a Rambler Rebel with what looked like a 390 and it was a 4speed. All of em were stick....I'm pretty sure that a 56 or 57 Cadillac was in the bunch and it had gadgets everywhere for the year of it and most of the gadgets were mechanical with a wire or 2 hooked up to everything that normal car's didn't have...We'd go hunting for old junked Cadillacs and put those gadgets in our ol Chevy's and flip people out with auto head light dimmers, power Cadillac seats, but we would re-upholster em so they'd be close to the original seats for the Chevy's, lol. That 1 car was worth way more than the land, building, cars, and all. Just 1 vehicle, and I'm pretty sure that 500 bucks got it in 1976 cause we were dumb back then
