Id like to point out for the audience that besides the one-time banner that guarantees a legendary item after a certain amount of pulls (the crossed off gold text at the gacha screen), there is no pity system, so if there's an item with 1% chance of showing up, you can only rely on your luck to get it. This is likely the main reason why this version of the game failed during its run in China.

I love how Dante and Vergil casually walk up to the portal and shove their hand into it, then there's Lady who just runs up to the portal and gently places her hand in.

If they took the Gacha of 2.0 and the combat of 1.4, it would be the ultimate DMC mobile game.

One thing i'll give to 2.0 is that they made it much easier to manage your resource. 1.4 has a ton of resources and item you need just to max out your starting weapon.

To think about it, you don't really have a time limit in any game mode besides bloody palace and a late end game mode where we defeat a horde of demons.... But anyways. You need red orbs for upgrading your weapons and need some bunch of random things for ranking up your weapons and unlocking the better skin for that weapon, and the "extras" purple or yellow crystals from gacha for more power. It's not too much but it looks like too much.

Just imagine, if Capcom (maybe NebulaJoy actually) makes either a different version of PoC (maybe call it like "Hardened Edition" or somethjng similar), with v1.0-1.4's combat & music, with 2.0's (specifically the China version) gacha system, it'd be like heaven for us

I guess THAT'S why they needed to change systems. They could've at LEAST retained the combat from this system.

You mean.... Because of this gacha? Yeah... Welp it was super trash and no pity whatsoever(besides Vergil one and this first 30 summons legendary weapon one), so I can understand that people would have gotten bored of it because of only rebellion and pistols

2.0 has the best gacha but 1.4 has the best combat and animation. And also the gacha in 1.4 has music. I wish they keep it in 2.0

wha-? 2.0 gacha odds are way better than 1.4 gacha...... 1.4 gacha is about pure luck and 2.0 gacha has some form of a guarantee :')

no guarantees for a legendary and purely luck based... so indeed. 2.0 gacha is better. BUT!!!! 1.4 gacha had a gacha music :3

Yeah just like i thought, they abandoned the 1.4 due to not being profitable, which honestly no wonder They streamline the resources a lot , however they also stresmlined the combat due to the need of making the gacha more appealing Before people would had just unlock some random stuff and olay non stop with out ever pulling again

You sure....? O.o, because in 1.4, it's about pure luck... Sure the 1st 30 summons allowed us a guaranteed legendary per account, which is better than the 1st 40 summons guaranteeing a legendary per account in 2.0, BUT AGAIN!!! 2.0 has pity system which 1.4 never had(besides for Vergil, he was a gacha exclusive character)👀

in terms of gacha rates? yeah! 2.0 got the better deal... in terms of 1st legendary guarantee, 1.4 got the better deal. animation wise, its debatable and for the music choice.... its a no brainer, 1.4 is winning this one. but most people would care about the gacha itself sooooo..... yeah! 2.0 is better in that regard :D
