What's with that very high note in the middle of the first lyrical phrase of the cello (0:40)? It seems like it's an octave higher than the score. It sounds kinda awesome, even though it looks like it's not intentional.

yep it seems like its a kinda of harmonic like the bow wasnt really in the string

@@oldbird4601 chill it's a live performance, it was a mistake but the musical intention still came through so I'd say it was still beautiful

Prefer their pace for this...just that one scratchy high note...darn & awe...they play this beautifully.

00:42 😮 Quelle est cette bizarre note, soudain très aiguë, (émanant de l'un des deux violoncelles ? ) que j'ai entendue ? Est-ce dans la partition originale de Chostakovitch ? Ça sonne étrangement, et ça m'a surprise 😮 !
