The way he handled every intense moment had me in awe! And the different amounts of pressure he used to attack each drastic & dynamic moment in the song 🥺💙🥺

Dmitry, I have been having a love affair with this Ballade all my life. It is such an extraordinary work, which takes in every aspect of technique covered by Chopin in his Etudes, not to mention those elements of counterpoint in reverence to Bach. I am so glad to hear you play it. Yours is a sensitive soul. And so, I thank you for this memorable performance. You have touched my heart! God bless you!

@@notegear_chinaI'm not a fan of Cho--for no particular reason, but he just doesn't move me. I prefer Shishkin. I also think he has better technique.

Shishkin is fantastic, but he’s not a par excellence Chopin player. I love his Liszt and Hummel in particular though! (and am also not moved by Cho’s Chopin for some reason)
