Thank you! Been looking for a way to do this for a long time and now I have the answer thanks to you! Just started to dip my toes into DMR via Baofeng, mostly for event communications but wanted to try the new world... Much appreciated!

Nicely Done! Thank you for making this simple and straight forward. This is my first foray into digital. I just finished getting our BSA Troop licensed commercially and it was encouraged that we go digital at the same time. This begins to make the software manageable. I sure wish RT Systems made software for this. Very much appreciated.

Just setup up 2 Baofeng DR-1801UV for use as DMR Tier 1 Simplex in Australia. The software and settings are different, however your video pointed me in the right direction. Thanks!

@@BTag94 SMS is buggy with this HT. You have to setup radio ID in each HT. I used the last 6 digits of the serial number for radio ID for simplex.

Thanks...when you to the channel you could use the A or D to know or keep them separate digital in channel b and analog in channel a

Great info. I am setting up the 1701’s this way. Question, I have 1 set of radios with just 1 channel. How do I get rid of the second line that says unprogrammed on the second digital line when radio is on?

An easy to follow instruction video. Thanks. But, can you say something about radio id? What is it? What is it used for? Should it be the same in all my radios? Where and how can I get one without a ham license? I'll not be using the radios on ham bands, but rather on my own licensed frequencies for communication at work.

Stupid question from a new Ham (General). The frequency values you used, are these simplex repeaters, or are these taken from all available frequencies and then defined as simplex. Or, when defined as a channel are you effectively just monitoring the frequency when you point your transceiver to that specific channel frequency?
