I bought a new camshaft for my os fs 120 and it was shiney,and I totally agree with you on the comment of os quality.they don't need sealent and have gaskets on the intake manifold.

Hi David, any idea what the dimensions are for the metric woodruff key? I just bought one but the key was missing. Nobody seems to have them in stock so I was going to make one. Thanks

I always use sealer on the intake and orings . You cant see a vacuum leak and a little sealer is cheap insurance. The problem with using sealer is when people get overzealous and slop too much on and it creates balls of sealer inside the engine which plug things up like oil passages. The key is moderation. I dont trust a metal to metal seal seal without some kind of gasket be it fiber or chemical. And yes I am a trained professional mechanic.
