SMH yeah that's humans for you. It's still one of the most heavily mined places in the world. A great place to bring the kids. Edit: @ Juan Carlos Puentes What do you think a waiver is signed for in the first place?
@cipher881016 жыл бұрын
+ Hi Not the "most dangerous place in the world" tbh, I've seen this in person, but it is not chucky cheese either. It's not secure, secure and a heavy military presence are not mutually inclusive. The NK special forces have to infiltrate to SK through that huge minefield and back to graduate, so it isn't secure even with all of the military presence for example. Cyber attacks will cripple a brand new computer if you even plug it in in SK(edit: to the internet). Tensions are always elevated. These soldiers posture for each other every single day of the year. People that don't know any better these days will say "We are going to war with NK!", when we have been at war with them for 60+ years. The entire site you are looking at would be a crater during the first 10 minutes @ the end of the cease fire.

In nK, the soldiers have 10 years of mandatory military service, while SK have 2 years of mandatory service. The blue buildings are half in North Korea and half in South Korea. In the main building there's even a table on the border that's used for negotiations. Both countries share the building and with special permission, the North will let you cross onto their side for about 30 seconds (just enough time to take a picture and say you've been to North Korea). I'm not sure if they still let you do that,it depends on North Korea's mood.

Yep scared for both their families lives and their own. Once you try to defect, succeed or not your family gets into trouble either way, sent to CAMPS or EXECUTED. One thing you should know is defecting is only in the CHINESE BORDER where if you get caught they send you back and through the DMZ where it's full of LAND MINES and ELECTRICAL WIRES etc.. Some defectors that have defected and talked about how they're worried about their families back in N.Korea.

My first tour in Korea (2000-2001), there was a dress code you had to follow to be allowed into the JSA. If you were military, you had to be in your service uniform (Class A or B). If you were a civilian, no shorts, no jeans, no sandals. Essentially, you had to be in at least business casual. They have relaxed that since then, however. It was mostly to prevent giving NK propaganda opportunities.
