Uncle Randy will NOT be pleased by the use of a flamethrower to start that fire. The mountain men of old could start a fire just by glaring angrily through a piece of quartz.

Love from India. We can't get our hands on these things here☹️. Guardian 3 n 4 my dream edc knife. So I'm planning to get something like this made by local blacksmith. Lets see how it turns out, for i love both cooking n camping. Although quality, finish nothing will b match.

Check out the Ruike Jager F118-G as a budget alternative (in a really good steel for the price). Although if you can ask a blacksmith for a custom blade that would probably be superior.

Good onya! I've been a Bradford fan for a couple years when I bought my Guardian 4. Waited those 2+ years for a stainless version of the Guardian 6. They finally offered a limited run (90; that's pretty limited) of a Guardian 6 with M390...Yahoo!!! While I no longer believe in the "if you only had one knife in a survival SHTF situation" concept, it's still a fun sorting exercise. And if I could only have one knife in that scenario, it would be a Bradford 6 in a high quality stainless. What a perfect knife! American made, top quality production, master cutting tools.

I love camp knives that are capable of using the entire edge in rocking, chopping and slicing that don't have a ricasso anywhere near the working edge. I'm really impressed with the way it performed on the rope test. The 6" version would be soooo nice.

Not so much into fixed blade knives but when you incorporate the idea of a fixed blade in the kitch, it changes my whole perspective of why one might want to buy a fixed blade over a folder. Great and fun review. Keep up your great work...

As you know, I love fixed-blades. I had to sell my BM 200 Puukko last week. Sad Face. But the new owner loves it, so that's good. But hey, I have a bunch of good knives and nowadays rarely get time to properly use them. Better that some of them go to people who will make use of them.

Another negative that may be worth mentioning...the cut outs on the micarta for the lanyard hole can create some hot spots with certain grips. I do NOT own this particular knife but I do have the Guardian 5, and aside from this one flaw, it is an otherwise amazing piece of kit. Their 4.5 model does away with this, and to me, makes for a better outdoors use knife. I'm very happy with all of my Bradford knives, and glad to see you enjoyed your experience as well!

11:30 I have a confession to make. On my days off at the block, I clip that SIWI (haven't used it properly yet, but love it, thank you) on to my belt so the handle pokes out of the button gaps on my flanno. Sometimes I go full #knifenerd and wear the BK2 as well, with the Crooked River in my pocket. And of course, my rebar because I don't leave home without it on my belt.

Just got my g necker and quite impressed, excellent design and materials, I will say I’m not ultra impressed with the utility focused edge, and it’s Elmax, so not exactly an easy reprofile. It seems to me that premium steel knives always come edges and aren’t as good slicers as they can be out of the box, whereas cheaper knives come too acute and roll on me. Anyway, I will be trying more Bradford, can’t decide for the next one between this perfectly practical knife, or the guardian 6, just because.

I wonder if it might be a good idea to do a knife-related video regarding hand size? Sounds stupid I guess but measuring hand size by what gloves you wear seems rather vague. US/Canadian 'large' gloves might be considered 'medium' by UK standards. Just an idea...

Paul Victor :- The steak was for a beef stew, so removing the fat is perfectly acceptable. I would have cooked the steak fat on, then cut off the excess fat and serve that to my dogs. I don't like even crispy fat in my stew. The meat should melt in your mouth after slow cooking.
