There are countless times I coulda ended up slicing my hand in the last 7 years and they saved it from happening. They also work well for insulating the feeling of pallets and slivers digging into the hand. So for their actual intended purpose, they definitely get the job done. So they did forget the fact that cut resistant gloves come in different levels of effectiveness and most likely only tested a lvl 1 cut resistant glove. A lvl 3 cut resistant glove actually has metal inside it to protect against the type of cuts that they did like the scissors. So maybe try doing this again with better cut resistant gloves to make a more comprehensive decision.

Actually, if you watch the start of the video, You can see they chose a lvl5 glove. though, I've never heard of "Dex Fit", and from the looks of them, may be a less expensive version. As you said, there are different levels of cut resistance, and I suspect that the same level at a variety of price points will react differently. Personally, Id like to see a range of cut resistant gloves being tested... Everything from your $20 amazon specials, up through your $100+ Hatch or TurtleSkin. Hold on, I'm gonna go make the suggestion to Project Farm... 😂😂

i helped volunteer at my local zoo and one of my jobs was helping prepare diets for reptiles, birds, and small mammals (aka veggies, fruits, bugs, frozen mice, boiled eggs, and "meatball") and we were required to wear cut-resistant gloves because most of us were minors. Those gloves definitely saved me from getting at least about 5 cuts, probably not bad but they still would have hurt and bled. they were a different brand without the rubber on the fingertips, but they definitely worked for me!

Carrots are actually known to be the same resistance as your fingers So maybe next time if you wanted to you could use carrots(it’s just something I heard from my sister)

I think they already have those. They're just not marketed as gloves that can withstand a pistol whip. You should be asking when bullet resistant gloves will be out.

Given how well the cut-proof gloves worked, a pair of leather welding gloves would probably suffice for being "gun proof."

lol, finger buddy! I sliced my right index finger a couple of weeks ago. That was a real fun morning, because my office's punch clock is a biometric hand scanner. It turns out that they don't work well when your finger is wrapped in a bunch of gauze and electrical tape. Incidentally, once all the bleeding is done, "New Skin" is an amazing little product. It's a kinda-sorta clear, flexible acrylic paint that you can apply over a healing wound... it gives it some protection without all the bulk of a bandage.
