That is the way many of them look some even have angry looks to them. This dog must be doing a lot of stuff everyday they have lots of energy. They are used for mushing in the freezing cold in Siberia very long distances.

Piping hot lol, don't exaggerate. Those small pieces would've cooled down quickly. Plus, I doubt that a dog will think, "Oh shoot, there's steam. It must be hot! I'm going to wait until it cools down." They're smart, but not that smart.

Yeah too many variables factoring in this experiment. You can't really tell if the results are true or not. The meat type is different, the portions are different, and they're also relatively close to each other so the dog probably didn't care which he ate first since he's gonna eat both anyways.

If you ever decide to do this test again may I suggest a couple of things? It looked like he just recognized the raw meat and went for it without smelling the other. Perhaps if you use dark plats and make both samples the same size. Before he picks one, show him a small piece of each one and let him eat them one at a time. This way when he makes his choice will remember what each one was when he sees them.

all animals have eaten raw meat since the beginning of ... well since always and forever. Animals eat raw meat. thats what they do.

It does make sense. Dogs and their wolf ancestors would have almost never came across cooked meat that wasn't the result of humans either deliberately feeding them, scavenging human scraps or running humans off of a kill that they were cooking. The only time I could think of a wolf coming across cooked meat in the wild would be if something had been struck by lightning or the animal was stood above an inactive geyser when it activated. The dog went to the smell that was more deeply rooted in its DNA.
