He is currently questionable to start their Christmas Eve battle with NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys. However, there is a chance he could play, saying quote: 'Ultimately, I want to do what's best for the team.' Gardner Minshew would start if Hurts is a no-go. According to FOX Bet Sportsbook, the Cowboys are currently (-4) favorites in Week 16. Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy and David Helman debate whether Philly needs Hurts to beat America's Team or not.

I'm a cowboys fan and I don't even like Dave helman he just sounds annoying lmao but you are dead right. He is consistently objective. He only really defends dallas when everybody is being biased towards them. He defends them yet still will tell you he doesn't know if they can win it all. Doesn't mean he's always right but he definitely is giving every team and player a fair shake.

@SamoaVsEverybody_814 hahahah a Mahomes bandwagon fan nuthuggah right here. Jalen lead his team to 13-1 currently and has the best TD-Int percentage when squared up with Mahomes. The only reason Mahomes has more total yards + TDs is because Hurts been blowing teams out. If they really wanted to run up the score in half the games this season, he'd be leading in those metrics as well. Go rim your dogs salad bowl or somn little boy.

To answer Shady's question: QB's that could be given the eagles roster and do damage, Herbert, Mahomes, Allen, Burrow (would break fn records with that o line), Brady, YES i do the Justin Fields would at the very least go 12-5, Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Rogers, Dak Prescott, Derek Carr (would probably break records), Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson would be undefeated. But thats it.

Dallas is banged up on the defensive side of the ball. Besides Diggs idk if there's another corner healthy on that team you see and go yup he's going to be okay. Vander esh is out he is a big run stopper, and that dude they got from the raiders to stop the run is out. I'm a cowboys fan and ol'boy hating on Hurts. HURTS IS A SUPERMAN. Dak averages 35pys a game this year. One pic a game would not hurt because the OC calls so many pass plays more than other teams. If you watch the game you'll see all of Dak's pics are not his fault.

He doesn't do squat for the defense. While Mahomes has his team up there with them with a defense that can't stop a runny nose. We’ve seen Philly do this before. Wentz was having an MVP season then gets hurt, solid BACKUP QB comes in and they go on to win the Súper bowl without much of a drop off. Jalen goes down, solid BACKUP comes in and they still put up 34 points. The RPO/read option system is one of the easiest systems to run in the NFL that’s why so many teams are running it with these you get QB’s

I saw the point Joy was making. Kyle Shanahan can coach anyone. He has the mind in which he can put the right personnel in the right place in his offense. Hurts offense is tailored to his strengths. Mahomes' and Lamar's are tailored for them. Dak's offense isn't tailored for him. He's an rpo type qb who can throw the ball decently. He excelled in college with that type of system. Fir some reason, Dallas doesn't utilize it like they should.

It's not disrespectful to say other players on the team are elite too. It's just how they're trying to say it that makes it sound disrespectful. The Eagles are the best team in the league, not just because of Hurts but because they're elite in every single position.

@@sonikspeed19 Mahomes has two elite players ((Travis and Jones)) maybe three if you think ched is elite. So there is a vast difference there, it's extremely obvious which team is elite with or without their QB and which team is elite because of their QB. To me, the Eagles are elite without Jalen but with Jalen they become Superbowl contenders he's basically what Stafford was for the Rams. I don't think that's being disrespectful, I think that's just being honest. No I don't see them doing as well without Jalen and I most certainly don't think a backup QB could do what he's doing for them.
