I am 72 years young - when need be, I just plot down on my behind and scooch (is that a word?) when gardening and working in flower beds. Thank goodness, I just keep an empty 5 gallon bucket turned upside down so I have a support when I need to stand back up. LOL

Mary, I have been following you for a while now. But aging as I am, I seem to need to have a sit and rest for a bit. This has led me to binge watching your channel. I fear the day when I run out of your episodes to watch. But you are an inspiration and I keep looking around my very old house and thinking what can I do to change or (I don't want to say up grade) but more to up lift some of my 'stuff'. I love antiques and old furniture too and I confess nostalgic about things. I found two gold rimmed dimpled glasses just like the ones my mother used to have when we were kids - I am coming up to 72, anyway, they were Mums 'good' ones. Getting back to the point of this story, I gifted them to my sister and she was non plussed about them. Didn't even remember they were Mum's good glasses. Funny world we all live in. She was polite and put them in her wall unit with all the other things she treasures. Enough of my ranting. All the best to you and your family - stay safe

The foundation issue would be huge if it was trees, especially roomy ones close to the house, but as for flower beds and shrubs, not so much of an issue!

Use a dish of charcoal an antique dealer friend uses that the same charcoal you use in fish tanks. You leave it in drawers for a few days it absorbs musty smells Thank you Mary from all you do CHRISTmas Blessings your way.❤

Your plants are not anywhere near enough to your foundation to be a problem. If you had a maple tree 2-3 ft. away from your house then it could be a problem. It looks really nice.

Mary those gifts are so lovely! I really enjoyed seeing them. Some people here in the Rockies seem to have good luck with Lavender but not me. I've been trying for years! It looks like the bed you put in is not right next to the house and slopes down away from the house so that the water will drain away from the house. It doesn't seem like it would affect your foundation

Wiping down musty furniture with hydrogen peroxide can work to get rid of the smell, and doesn't hurt the finish. Vinegar also kills any mold or mildew really well, but I'm not sure what it would do to paint, so I guess you'd want to test that carefully.

Hi Mary, Drew Scott from Lone Fox does WWDD videos. You could always pick his brains about the logistics of getting viewer pictures to you. Maybe you could thrift very similar items, to those viewers send photos of, so you have something do physically work on, versus just a description.
