Hate is a strong word for a fictional character based on a toy.

Nya became my favourite after season 8 . I loved her hair and look . And I think she grew stronger and had a bit development after season 8.

Nya personally is a comfort/kin character for me.. So I always loved her and keep loving her even more as time goes. She keeps getting better imo. She's relatable personality wise to me, and with stuff she goes through.. So to the extent that I feel as if that if I'd hate her, I'd be hating on myself if that makes sense.

I like Nya, I think she's a great character and her personality is very much reflecting off her childhood, growing up without proper parents and only able to depend on her brother. Season 6's beginning may have painted Nya in a bad light but if you think about it, what would stop the others from rejecting her help on the team like they did in the past? Plus Nya was still living in her Samurai shadow and was used to doing things on her own terms and being solo. But I see where you're coming from and I do think season 15 will be Nya's shining moment and turn around a lot of people's opinion on her towards a better light.

Nya is hot tempered but at the end of the second episode of Seabound she was willing to take the blame for the water disturbances even though it wasn't her fault.

Personally Nya is my second favorite character,but I can understand why some people dont like her,her character has a couple of issues, hopefully season 15 would make her a more likable character.

Even though she has not had a lot of character development, Nya is still my 2nd favorite ninja because she is smart, amazing, and gorgeous, and I cannot wait how Season 15 will improve her character. Also, I absolutely love her post-movie look more than her pre-movie look.

Even though there are some negative qualities about her, but I still love her as a character. Especially with how loyal, empathetic, and understanding she is at times which is something that I can appreciate the most out of her. Let's hope season 15 will further develop her character and the change that Tommy Andreasen had talked about will humble her a bit more. By the way I see it, she's such unique character!

I hated Nya before season 7 then she was okay. Her attitude needed to calm Tf down but now she’s great :)

I really liked Nya in Skybound. Sure, she was ungrateful and a bit spiteful but it was her own emotion acting out and gave her a human reaction to what she was going through. She looked for blame and trued to vent her frustration. And you can see her grow throughout the season, coupled with Jay's development is some of the best we've had in the show. I take a lot more issue with how Nya is treated in modern seasons, with her being way too short tempered and her no longer showing much of her once prevalent mechanical skills. She's a great character but she's often done dirty by the show for what she can really be, and maybe Seabound will show more of her in a better way.

Nya is my favorite ninja

When I was watching the first few episodes of Season 15, I noticed something, which is that Nya is actually the best written of all the ninja. Ever since Season 11, the rest of the main cast has felt very one-dimensional; Kai is the arrogant one, Cole is the tough one, Jay is the lovable one, Zane is the smart one, and Lloyd is the sensible one. They've lost all the special character traits they had in earlier seasons, with the exception of Nya. Her character isn't so cliche, instead she's portrayed as a strong, brave, and talented individual, but her problem is that she's stubborn and doesn't really want others helping her, she wants to be independent. That's why I think she's the best written of all the ninja. My only problem is how the writers started pushing this whole feminist agenda in Skybound ;/

Straight up Tanner, you are 100% justified in criticizing Nya. While I do think Nya is in a good place right now, we would be woe to remember some serious flaws with the writing of her character. My first problems with Nya really emerged when she was revealed to have powers and became a Ninja. I have two main criticisms here, the first being that making her a Ninja robbed her her character development. I loved Nya as Samurai X because it felt like something she worked towards to achieve. She didn't have elemental powers (yet) so instead of being born with power, she had to earn it. I respected that, especially when she independently carved her own path to be just as important as the Ninja without being a Ninja But then they just forced her to be a Ninja and gave her powers out of nowhere. She couldn't even be a water samurai, they had to make her a water *Ninja* and it seriously damaged her independence, a core aspect of her character. Not only did they stop making Samurai X, but Master Wu (and the writers) basally forced to to be a Ninja when she didn't want to. It was a very unnatural change in her character and it's not good when you force an independent female character to be less independent with someone else deciding her destiny. And what made it feel even more unnatural was why it was done. This leads into my second problem: It's pretty obvious Nya only became a Ninja because she was a girl. To be clear, there's nothing wrong with a Ninja being a girl but there is something wrong with making Nya, a main character who has always participated in the plot as Samurai X, a Ninja just for the sole purpose of having a female Ninja. That's pure tokenism and it contributes to her entire role as a Ninja feeling forced. For the longest time, this awkward presentation made Nya feel like a tacked on part of the team. She complained about being "the girl ninja" in season 6 but the only reason they even made her a Ninja was because Lego demanded it! You can criticism sexism when you are literally only in that position because of sexism. By season 8 the writers finally made Nya feel like a natural part of the team and I can genuinely say that I am now a Nya fan, but it can't be ignored that Nya has some serious problems from seasons 5-7 (or even earlier if you want to get into the love triangle nonsense). She was an ironically sexist depiction that was meant to combat sexism and that's never a good look. It's amazing how much better of a character she became when the writers didn't force it just let her naturally fill different roles be it a Samurai or a Ninja in the later seasons.

SPOILER ALERT In season 15 , we got to know something very weird about nya. She apparently dislikes her mother. That's really weird . That's new. And that just makes me like her character more cuz we never knew that . Personally, nya is my second favorite and season 15 is already so cool with the first 2 episodes. Can't wait to see the whole season .

Nya is currently my second least favorite (least favorite is lloyd for stealing the goddam spotlight in most of the newer seasons, and it’s difficult for me to rank the og 4 for myself), but still excited to see her story in Seabound.

Favorite to least Kai Cole Jay Lloyd Zane Nya

I noticed something about Kai, almost whenever he is not the focus Ninja of a season, his character is basically reduced to generic archetypes of "the big brother" or just comic relief. For example: S6 Skybound S8 Sons of Garmadon S12 Prime empire S13 Master of the Mountain
