If you're wondering why I was disappointed, it's simple, I've been searching for a long time and this isn't just another dead end. We had all of these ideas on the drawing board and they either were scratched off or proven to not be the root of my issues. Now we're back to square one, back to the drawing board.
As for what's next, I have a scope scheduled to be completed at University of Iowa hospitals and clinics and that will likely be one of my last tests that I have until I move and get on my new health insurance.
I appreciate any concern about me being unemployed and having multiple health conditions but please know that I'm working very hard to get a new job. I've had nine job interviews since I've been laid off, will start a new part-time job tomorrow and I'm going for an in-person job interview later this week. I can say that I'm confident knowing that I will have a job before the end of the year and I will have health insurance by the beginning of the year.

Welcome to my channel. My name is Laigha and I was born with two different disabilities, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder and Miserable Malalignment Syndrome, in addition I also manage diabetes and an unknown stomach condition. Until early August 2022 I was also a journalist.
I post vlogs every week to showcase my hectic life.
As a journalist, I primarily covered local government, health and disability. I began working at The Hawk Eye in 2019. I have previously covered a number of trials for The Hawk Eye while I filled in as public safety reporter. In April of 2022 I won third place in the best in crimes and courts category for the Iowa newspaper Association better newspaper contest.
I've been creating content on TikTok and Instagram for the past year about disability but I had a strong desire to tell the story of someone with a disability who also works a full-time job.
I am INCREDIBLY lucky that I have a job that has flexible hours and working conditions that also is project-based. My experience is not the experience of everyone with my job, my experience with my disabilities are not the same as those with these disabilities, even if someone has all the disabilities I have.
