After returning from vacation my lawn was super overgrown. It is so tempting to pull out the mower and bring things back to a well-groomed condition, but instead, I decided to apply a nutsedge killer to kill the sedge population in the lawn a full 48 hours before I finally plan on pulling out the mower.

I have deer who mow my lawn too damn short. 106 two days in a row here, and now gophers. This is war!

Id hate to break it to you, but that is not overgrown grass by any means... tons of people are on bi-weekly mowing. Maybe its an ever so sightly late mow 😂 no different than if a thunderstorm rolls in for a few days.

I fully get your point but for me that is wildly overgrown, especially when it's normally cut just over an inch in height. I finally mowed it yesterday and probably cut 2/3 off the top, clearly broke the one third rule. Although most people would just see a regular yard I try to stick living up to my own standards.
