@@nsevvit is vegetarian. dairy products are vegetarian. (some people even include eggs in vegetarian). perhaps you mistook it for veganism. vegans don't eat any animal product.

Daal is not millet. Daal is called lentils or pulses. Millets are things like Bajra, jowar, raagi, etc

People of other countries need to know that Indian cuisine is not just butter chicken, tandoori chicken and Biryani and that it is moe than this. Also the three above dishes are not Indian rooted meaning it was introduced after mughals came to India. People who want to introduce India and its culture should always research before telling people or else you may mislead or hurt the audience 😊

butter chicken is purely an Indian invention. The creators hotel is still open in Dariyaganj Delhi and its a relatively recent dish (like discovered in 1946 something)

also, I was curious and just looked it up, Tandoori Chicken is also a completely Indian dish. Its also a dish that was invented in 1940s in Punjab and caught popularity since. Both butter chicken and tandoori chicken evolved in India far far after mugha rule was over. The only dish in your list that has Mughal influences is Biryani and even then its an Indian invention technically because even though mughals made it (still debatable, but they def popularised it), they made it for the first time in India with all Indian ingredients except for kesar.

Living near coastal india . Our staple food is rice and fish. Roti with fish curry /sukka. Veg too, non veg as well. Mix of all- but mostly its fish

Jrur.... punjabi dosa idli khaate h. Bhai jis bhi tareeke k log jyada h videsh m usi tareeke ka khana milega. South Indians h Kai saare isliye idli dosa Punjabi h isliye butter chicken chicken tikka or daal roti vgerah jo delhi or haryana m khate h Gujrati h isliye jalebi vgerah bhi dikh jaati h. Jin dishes ka logo ko pata h ya indian restaurants m mashoor hai vahi foreign m h.

I am from Punjab but moved to New Zealand. Most of my friends here in NZ are of the perception that Punjabi food is only limited to butter chicken and Samosa. I invited some of them to my home and they were suprised to see how the homemade food was completely different and delicious than what they usually had at restaurants!

Our State chattisgarh is Not much famous but it is Known as Rice Bowl of India and we do use Rice almost everyday, three times a day... We have many types of Rice, red rice, black rice, green rice, brown rice...

Im a haryanvi man but i was born and raised in chandigarh so it's really lovely to see and realise that im not so far from my blood and lineage honestly indian cuisine perfectly reflects indian people and culture it's a huge cauldron with a mixture of everything and it's refined and evolved over the history of India

@@IndianBlitzKarnataka as a state is a mix of 4 different major cultures. Souther Kannadiga being the dominant one (ragi mudda, chicken dry fry, chicken, gojju, jolada roti, bisi baath, mysore pak), Konkani/Tulu (ik theyre not the same cultures but their food is pretty similar. this includes ghee roast, myriad of fish dishes like konkan fish curry, sheva pais, karatke bhaji) and norther kannadiga and kodava culture which im not that well versed on.

"every state got its own cuisine" yeah thats the same for every country. not just india. pains me everytime qhen people talk about "traditionaö german food"and only show bavarian stuff or fastfood lile currywurst. ever heard of "Grünkohl mot pinkel"? of course not. (its Kale with a pork/oats sausage thats filled to the brim with salty broth, it os absolutely one of a kind not seen anywhere else in the woröd, but only avalible around October in the northwestern part of Lpwer saxony known as East Frisia)
