Agreed! I am still very much in my learning journey, but felt that while yes, any gendered card could mean someone of that same sex or gender, it does not 100% mean that. There is a lot of metaphor and symbolism in the cards to look at as well, and I tend to think more about the personality and traits of the figure in the card, and use the sex or gender as additional description.

They do not need to be sexed accordingly. They're just personality archetypes to me. I think if you set your intention to always reading kings as male, then that will work, too.

Great advice. Being asked about this could be a great foothold into discussing gender more generally, and what do other cards suggest. The Fool to me is always somewhat gender ambiguous.
