when i grow up i want to be a pleco

Almost exactly ten years ago I bought 9 zebra plecos with the goal of breeding them. They have been in a 40 gallon breeder species only tank with just rocks and pleco caves (bare bottom) for that entire time. To my knowledge they have never bred. I would like to get them to breed. So any advice would be appreciated. Also I'm curious about their lifespan as mine are about 10 years old and to my knowledge I only lost one fish (3 months after getting them). They are in 40 gallon breeder with two Aqua clear 70's on either end of the tank. There are 3 air pumps feeding a sponge filter and multiple air stones. Temperature is around 82 c. I have never done a water change and just fill the evaporating water every couple months. I've also never cleaned the tank as the Bio load is so low (8 zebras in a 40 gallon). I also stopped adjusting PH as my tap is consistently about 7 but I do condition the water. I really hope there is still a chance of breeding the. A part of me just hopes one day that I will see babies in the tank but I admit that I rarely ever see the fish at all even though the tank is in my living room.

Great video, I have 14 zebra and I split the groups. One with 3 males and 4 females and the second group have 4 males and 3 females. I’ve had two trapping attempts but they still a little young.
