If you like RVs Automatic you should watch their S.E.S cover of Be Natural. It's right around their debut when they were still a 4 member group and it has the same sensual vibe. Or, if you need something faster and more modern, Irene and Seulgis Monster or - IMO their best dance video - Naughty. You can't go wrong with Dreamcatcher. They are the dark angels of KPop with their rock songs, but they can do more soft stuff, too. I just watched them live last week and the place exploded when Dami said "Hold up" And they kick up the bass and the drums a few notches performing live, so... even better than the video. If you need prove watch their Bang Bang Bang cover from the Hallyu Festival. And if you are looking for really good vocals watch Mamamoo. They are on the same level as Red Velvet and a s awhole group even better since you have four exceptional singers that all can rap and dance.

If you want to explore more of their discography, I'd recommend 'Piri', 'You and I', 'Bonvoyage', 'Odd Eye', 'Vision', 'Eclipse' (this one is actually an official anime opening)... to list just a few title tracks. And because you guys seem to love our main rapper, Dami (as we all do 😂), I encourage you to check out 'Black or White', it's a b-side but it has a really dope performance video with choreo on Dingo music's channel. Also just an fyi, Dreamcatcher has always had 7 members, but in 2020, Handong (Chinese member) went back to China to participate in a music survival show, because of that and because of the pandemic starting when she was still there, she couldn't return to South Korea until late 2020 due to borders being closed, so she missed 2 comebacks ('Scream' and 'Boca') and a couple of other releases. So basically, if you see only 6 members it's because the song was released in 2020 and sadly Handong was still in China.

Boca is Dreamcatcher's reaction to a very dark period for celebrities in Korea (2019). It came out just after Sulli from f(x) passed after constant cyber bulling and cancelling by a lot of crazy Knetz. SuA's best friend Seungyeon (from CLC) was also good friends with Sulli and it really hit close at home. Sulli's best friend Goo Hara also passed 6 months later because of the same treatment. So Dreamcatcher declared war on the bullies and cyber violence and simply tell these people to shut their Boca. The lyrics "too many angels die now" refers to Sulli and many others like her. The song was part of a huge backlash from the Korean society, that led to changing the Law to better protect people.

I don’t know about mainstream but it is definitely popular af, I became a fan in 2007 and the way it has changed so much in terms of how available everything kpop is to when I used to have to download the songs illegally and watch music videos and shows in horrible quality with barely any subtitles lol there’s a mall near where I live that has TWO kpop stores in it but back in the day (ew I sound old lmao) I could only get that shit on a Korean website (sometimes had a foreign fan buy for me - thank you international fan forums) or had to wait until I went on a trip to LA to go to ktown. IT WAS A DAMN STRUGGLE lmao! The fans today have it so easy 😭😭😭

Dreamcatcher always, ALWAYS bring the intensity, every performance. Find me a bad performance by Dreamcatcher. If you want to check another music video, why not go for BONVOYAGE or OOTD, with accompanying B-sides that have performance/dance videos DEMIAN or SHATTER. BONVOYAGE is an absolute masterpiece btw, probably the best of their title tracks along with DEJA VU. Dreamcatcher have probably the most varied discography in kpop once you delve into the b-sides, their choreographies are top-tier, their group cohesion and professionalism is without flaw, and they have among the strongest vocal lineups in kpop girl groups. I don't think BOCA really displays their vocals to the best degree tbh, but that's just my opinion. Anyway, TL:DR, MOAR DREAMCATCHER!

I'll admit that I think I like girl groups more, but I like the NCT groups. The NCT groups definitely have jazzier sounds. Boy groups sometimes have cooler and crazier choreo. I'd recommend solo kpop artists that are male. Some solo artist guys write some banging jazzy R&B kpop. (Zico, Zion T, Peakboy, PENOMECO, Jay Park, Primary, Crush) Most of them are stretching in K-R&B/hip hip, but that is the side of Kpop I love. Maybe I also like the girl groups cause I'm a straight guy that like hearing female voices, seeing pretty faces, and feeling the femininity that exudes from all of it. I would call Blackpink the BTS of the girl groups in america over TWICE (even If I like TWICE more). Overall I think Blackpink has been up there the most to americans at least. IVE is crazy popular too and I could argue for them too. Personally I prefer TWICE, NewJeans, Le sserafim, and other groups like them.
