It's the ultimate prank using the simplest of props... a plastic soda bottle filled with water. Even though the words, "DO NOT OPEN" are printed on the bottle, people just can't resist the temptation. Watch out, the fun is just beginning.

This is how people shotgun soda, alcohol, and energy drinks. Air pressure causes the the liquid to stay in, but as soon as the pressure flows, the liquid flows freely.

When I squeeze a bottle I normally squeeze the sides for leverage for opening the cap. And they were barely squeezing it and water was coming out. I wouldn't even have to open it to realize there are holes on the bottom.

If you poke the holes while the bottle is underwater, you can prevent water from squirting out

If anyone has a bottle which is oval around the circumference, before closing the bottle squeeze the sides quite far (this increases the volume inside the bottle), then close the cap. this will pressurize the inside of the bottle. When someone opens it, it will automatically squirt sauce; works best with bottles that stand on their cap.

My Science Teacher Mr. Gendreau taught us that in science because of the air pressure is pushing it in to seal the water and he said if you poke a hole in the top the air pressure pushes down and cause the water to pour out

any size, but no big holes, you can also do it with the little thing that are like silver with small little holes like a filter is use for making juice of lemon and oranges. If you open the bottle seal or put close the filter outside down the water won't go though. Is the surface tension of water, this is why some big and some small insects are able to walk on water. This and other things like the substance that frogs use to survive almost completely froze on winter is learn or studied on chem

I'd never thought of this but I see how it works, it's a little bit like that straw trick, were you suck some liquid up in a straw then put your tonged over the top, take it out of the bottle or carton or whatever and the water doesn't come out . But then when you lift your tounge of the air floods in and allows the water to come out.

New plan, if you have kids or if you don't like to poor things go to store and grab some soda and tape a piece of paper to it that says twist and put a few holes at the bottem and make them close together and you don't have to poor your soda! its perfect! :D

I agree. Can you believe that we still measure land in acres, the amount of land tillable by one man behind one ox in one day? Having our own measurement system makes about as much sense as an American correcting the Brits on the English language.
