I also encountered them sponsoring a person who's doing videos covering true crime and tragic disasters, so that's another appropriate target audience 🙃 And it's so tempting to sign up... Unfortunately a month of therapy would cost 70-100 % of my income (not an USA resident), so it's not an option 🥲 I do attend weekly therapy in my home country, but I got so accustomed to speaking in English that it's hard for me to express myself properly in my native language sometimes 😅 Not to mention, it would be great to find a therapist more familiar with more modern issues.

I really really dislike sponsors usually even tho I understand that content creators need them. I didn't check out the sponsor because currently I don't need therapy and have other priorities but I liked the "Take care of yourself!" in the end and advertising therapy in general :) Well done

@@doggo4078Thanks for the info! After reading your comment I read a bit more about it and I agree that this is not a good sponsor. Phish should either be more careful about who he partners with or take sponsors like this in less dangerous territories. Anyway I do think that this doesn't make the ad read in itself worse and the message is a good one nonetheless especially if you do it apart from the sponsor :)

@@gabbyc7013 It is not a start, it is a step in the wrong direction, endorsing a service that falsely advertises help at a premium to people who are the most vulnerable, it's disgusting practise and the information on them is readily available for people willing to do their research - endorsing them isn't simply ignorance with the best intentions, it's *wilful* ignorance and a lack of due diligence.

@@gabbyc7013That’s kinda not the issue though. BetterHelp is basically what you described. Someone listening and giving advice as they see fit. That would be fine if they advertised it as such but that’s not what they do. They advertise it as licensed therapy for cheap. This is not true and preys upon people who are struggling. It does not take more than a google search of BetterHelp stories to see the bad ones. I just read one where someone was berated for their issues by their supposed “therapist” They have also gone on record that they cannot replace licensed therapy yet they continue to advertise it as such. They’re scum in other words and they prey on people who are vulnerable. It becomes worse the more intense your problems may be and it’s not a good sponsor. It’s quite a disappointment to see if on the channel.

Extremely disappointed to see you endorsing Better Help after the controversy surrounding them basically scamming their already vulnerable users. This information is incredibly well documented and available if you're willing to do your research. They do not hire licensed therapists despite advertising such, and do not provide the service they advertise. they are preying on very vulnerable people who do not have a lot of options, and endorsing them is ignorant and shows a serious lack of due diligence. I can understand endorsing something like RAID, it's basically a meme at this point, and you gotta make bag at the end of the month, but Better Help is actively harmful to a great many people.
