A lot of the times it just comes from the people mostly only caring about their intermediates. I've seen videos where crazy things happen to other humans. From getting beat down or trip and fall and the crowd even get scared and pull their own children back and run away. It's just in that sense where if the animal creates more of a "home" sense to you, you care more about it. Say for example the cats and dogs in cages. Call the cops and they do nothing, because literally that happens to chickens/pigs all over the world. In other countries, they started placing different animals on pedestals, so it works on cats and dogs-but not chicken and pigs. I've seen videos where they skinned animals alive and let the bodies move once the skin is off. Horrible shit to see. Not sure about the laws on that.

It can be traumatizing to be chased by a dog.

Of course, they love animals! They're delicious!
