Yes, the 4 range commanders and any commander that you choose to use the V formation on get "real" severe wounds. As with any commander if your opponent's hospital is full those severe wounds will turn into deads. The reality is if you invest into a range commander pair (+gear, + armaments) just like any other pair of commanders you will actually get better trades guaranteed, because of how they work.

Players have been blocked from jumping forward in KvK/SoC for about 2 years now. In the old days it worked out really well if your objective was to unlock commanders in an easier fashion.

You can’t do that.

There are only 5.5 commanders with a circular AOE that you can use to chain barbs: YSG Theodora Zhuge Liang Heraclitus Lapulapu Cyrus is the .5... When attacked he has a 10% chance of firing off a 3 target circular AOE. So the answer is those 5/6 commanders + a commander with healing and/or tankiness. The Peacekeeping tree is preferred because it offers a large amount of march speed, healing, and damage to barbs (the faster they die, the less damage they do to you, the longer you can chain). @@john2g1 im using zhuge-richard. hera-alex, martell ysg. these 3 pairs are quite good and can last along time chaining. zenobia-frederick -lasts 3-4 chains. and for the fifth cao-cao- lapu. the last 2 pairs are not really as good but there isnt a better main than ca-cao from what i found

I think a more charitable interpretation would be that the debuffs are good, but not of the consistency and quality of say Nevsky 45% def or Scip 30% health reduction. The fact that we know when the debuffs on these commanders go off gives us more flexibility in a system of commanders. I think the positioning of siege comms works for drawn out battles over rough terrain and is good for flag locked situations, which is quite common in kvk but not all encompassing flexibility, especially when it comes to diving into enemy terrain. I think that partial investments into siege isn't necessarily a horrible idea, but I think running unmaxed commanders without necessary legendary gear is questionable compared to properly investing into the comms we have now. I think that these comms will be greatly overshadowed by future releases and don't have the shelf life that the previous comms have and their inflexibility in a 5 march in terms of debuff timings and mobility will continue to be an issue as well continue the meta of dropping large debuffs from primary commanders so all the secondary comms in your arsenal can use their abilities more effectively. You clearly have zero experience with range commanders. You will see a major change in the game from f2p entering SoC for the first time. The problem (and 12inch POV) is that most of us watching this video have already invested gold heads and gear for one of the other three troop types. However, if you have not crafted any gear and hoarded 1500 gold heads you would be amazed at how well range commanders trade and how much damage they do.
