It makes me sad hearing from a friend that only has one child that he wouldn’t have another one because it is too much work. And I can clearly see that it is a consequence of the pseudo values promoted in our current society regarding how man should behave. Hopefully he will fully appreciate fatherhood once the kid grows up.

I think this is not the greatest quote because it dismisses those who do not have children as less masculine. I think since Jesus came as man, he has perfected masculinity, and he did not produce children. I agree that fatherhood is awesome, and a fulfillment of masculinity. I just don't think it's justified to say that masculinity is only perfected in fatherhood.

Andrew Tate portrays a very shallow, materialistic, and visual form of masculinity. There's no depth to anything he says or does. It's all appearances. Masculinity isn't about being "alpha" or being promiscuous or loud, it's about having responsibility for yourself, your loved ones, your community, etc. It's about being there for people who need you.

@@nicholasnelson6876 Sure, if your idea of masculinity is entirely based off of looks. But like Michael in the video says, the crisis of modern day masculinity lies in what it's *not* centered around which is being a father. You can be physically fit, commanding, and confident, but in the end that's meaningless if it's not applied to future generations.

Not saying I agree with Andrew Tate, but with the woke left taking over churches I don't blame young men for going the other extreme and supporting Andrew Tate. Churches have to push Biblical masculinity, that's how we get men back. Christian masculinity = faith, family and the Great Commission. These 3 things provide more than enough direction, purpose and meaning beyond the self to sustain a man through this earthly life and eternity.

Even Tate has been turning more towards supporting traditional marriage and family. He doesn’t have any clue how deep that really goes, but give him time. When people are sincere about wanting to grow up and become their best selves, they start to see that resentment, juvenile attitudes towards the other sex, and avoidance of responsibility are poison. There is plenty of reason to have hope and know the natural love and partnership between men and women, as a friendship-based team of a mother and father who prioritize their children, is just the most logical truth that can exist

@@albinosh4dow #1 Redpill is a praxeology, not an ideology. #2 Ruslan did not do his homework before their first discussion. It was NOT a debate, more like a hit piece, and he refuses to come correct. #3 Rollo articulates his faith in the final chapter of The Rational Male: Religion. Part of why I would be interested in Matt Fradd's response is to highlight any possible errors in Rollo's logic from a Catholic perspective, given the facts Rollo addresses and his extensive resources cited. Do redpill guys hate fatherhood? I think it's mixed. You can't really put everyone into a box. It's like saying do psychologists hate fatherhood? Redpill is just an observation of behavioral data, often backed by science. Some psychologists are religious, some are not. Same with redpill. Just the same way a psychologist might look at various parenting styles on how to better manage you children, the redpill will focus on the inner workings of intersexual dynamics. They are tools and can be used in positive or negative ways, and that would depend on the individuals moral background.

One of my pet peeves about this show and other religious podcasts is how they shoehorn Andrew Tate into this figure that doesn’t necessarily reflect who he is. There’s a lot more nuance there. I used to be the same and just dismiss him as a flop as well. But his views on masculinity and life in general are not just reducible to red pill nonsense. Andrew Tate doesn’t bash fatherhood, he himself is one and has expressed rather logical views on how he intends to raise his children. Andrew Tate’s view over the years on God and morals have changed as well. He used to be an ardent promoter of sexual promiscuity, nowadays his position is not so clear cut. A lot of his prescriptions for improving men’s lives are well known and spoken about heaps by others as well. But that doesn’t negate their validity. Going to the gym, building physical strength, being disciplined, destroying mental weakness, devoting yourself to something of productivity (making money, etc) instead of just being a dork playing video games, taking accountability for your problems and having the strength to fix them, refusing the indoctrination of the left, thinking critically and not just believing the MSM’s propaganda etc etc. These are all good and healthy prescriptions for a generation of men who are completely and utterly emasculated. He’s not perfect, nor are his views all correct. But no one has the perfect worldview on everything. He’s not an easy figure to pin down. Especially with the controversial statements he’s made in the past, especially with the satirical character he’s built and marketed, especially with the outlandish statements he put out for clicks. A huge part of his misunderstanding is the role he played in building this persona. But if one truly takes the time to pin down his views, you’ll begin to realise he’s not as bad as everyone makes him out to be.

I think all men are called to be fathers in some capacity just as all women are called to be mothers. It isn’t always physical fatherhood. It can be spiritual. If you are called to be single and sincerely try to live for others rather than yourself, that’s wonderful. All callings are so we can learn to die to self and live to God and those around us. If that is what you are doing, that’s incredibly masculine.

That’s ridiculous. “Single moms” are human beings too, everyone has the capacity to learn, grow, and be virtuous. Why limit your pool of mature and good partners who you can have a good family with, or deny those children a father that you could be to them? Selecting a spouse should be about the virtues, and a single mother or single father can be a virtuous person who has learned a lot and has the capacity to be a good match. Also this kind of contempt for whole categories of people based on their past choices with bo recognition of who they are today is not charitable

How does your comment help men and women know they should fight for their marriages together? So we should just abandon the institution God gave us to ensure that both men and women can grow up and create a beautiful culture and learn to love each other? The enemy isn’t “women” or the “courts” or “divorce.” Men and women are natural friends and love partners for life. The strife and tendency to see each other as enemies is a result of the fall. In the beginning it was not so. Let’s fix the problems in marriage and law with a spirit of love and friendship towards each other, recognizing that the real enemy is Satan, who wants to tear men and women apart and stop them from being a team that fights for their marriage.
