Sir, due to Type 1 error deserving candidates are leaving India? Also if it is justified to take the seats of the General category of poor, challenging students then why isn't it wrong to take away for rich & advantagies SC, ST & OBC students?

you cant easily sort out the rich among them as majority more than 90% of backward caste’s had to go through rugs and they wont make any progress if not given a chance hence only a part of society will progress so reservation for sc st obc is necessary ,as im a general and my frnd was an obc and i could see the marginalisation he gets even after getting into iim 🙏

torchuring and harrassing bright students from sc caste groups by their fellows and seniors that ultimately forces them to commit suicide , or to leave the institute .is this type 1 error or type 2 error ??.or type 3 error??

Seems like he doesn't know anything about social construct. Reservation is given to backward, marginalized, tribal people to improve their socio-economic conditions over generations, which was hindered due to social norms and social practices. There are several other factors has to be included other than just income. Also how can you equate someone is in bad economic condition due to his personal/generation error, and someone due to social norms. Government can only identify the social structure that block the growth of particular section of people, and facilitate growth of these people for few generations by allocating seats in education and public sectors. which sets competition within the section, allow them to grow. Rich, middle class, poor are all part of economy, it is same for every countires. For poor people, we have socialist policies like Ration shops, Government Schools, Hosipitals, Colleges. Also poor people have to be given scholarships based on income. Let the backward people get a chance for 3-4 gen for their growth, and then we can think about removing reservations and having a common merit list.

This is not true obcs are not backward this is a weak argument to justify an injustice to meritorious students not a single nation in this world has this type of harsh percentage reservation 50% it means half of the seat is for non meritorious students it is all politics you are large in number we upper caste people are in less numbers that is why this discrimination is happening ...

We are the minority group that's why this reservation, even Muslim is in obc PM, Cm of mp, Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra, tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, etc are OBCs and they are marginalized what the hell is this not a single rational mind can think that all the top seat holders in a democracy constitute 50% of population are marginalized this is called "majorty ki gundai " and this is happening all over the world if upper caste want a place in India let they give birth to 10 child atleast 😂

Iam a general and i clearly understand the need for reservation in india ( obc st sc ) they deserve it too Nb📌i got 97%ile in 23 and i missed blacki 🥲yet i am ready to give in another shot

Did they forget Rohit vemula story. Despite being economically strong, lower caste people still face casteism and are often ostracised or bullied. The speakers were not informed at all about casteism and poor comments like this shows their prejudices
