The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the most interesting teams in the NBA. They've done a lot of right things to win games so far this season, but do they have enough to really win the championship? Today we dive into how the Clippers have turned it around and potential concerns that they may need to address.

couldnt agree more, the recent run has been molded of harden pnr and how effective he has been when blitzed. usually love this guys videos but as someone who watches every game this critiques are are about a month too late. Blitzing harden has not gone well for any teams ahaha

“Even if their roster isn’t composed of great 3 point shooters” wtf? Harden - 43% Kawhi - 43% PG - 41% Norman Powell - 46% Clippers as a team have the 2nd best 3 point percentage in the league only behind OKC. Also - dude is talking about Harden not being able to pass. He’s probably the best passer in the league. Overall a good video but these were red flags.

And he’s talking about the clippers moving away from pick and roll and in reality the clippers run alot of pick and rolls, which is showing in zubacs increased production

Harden is a good passer, but I think he means the specific situation of throwing a skip pass to the open weak side corner shown in those clips. Seems he doesn't like to throw those, though I mostly seen those passes only thrown by guys like Luka, Nikola and Lebron. Even Steph doesn't always throw them cos it's risky (see bad TO vs Denver end of game).

@michaelporterjr5029 I guess not this season. Clippers are scoring under 1 pt per possession on his PnR possessions, but 1.14 ppp on his iso. Him and Kawhi have been underwhelming in the PnR, for which really good passing in that specific scenario is required. So there is something to this analysis.

@@commenting4909 there 4th in the nba on points per possession on pick and roles ball handler and 11 on role man that’s pretty dame good, top 7 in fg percentage for both wish I could narrow it down to there last 20ish games but can’t. Frequency is 20th in the nba quite low, tov rate is also top 10, wish I could narrow it down I’m sure it that would imrpove. Being 20th in pick a role frequency isn’t good but when it is in use its efficent

This is really good. Very informative and insightful. Great use of film, including smartly placed slo-mo and highlights. I'm not even that interested in the Clippers specifically. But I was into it. And I learned things that I can relate to teams I am interested in. Cool to see you do another longer (is this longer or medium-ish length?) form breakdown. Hope it can get some good views so you can do more.

LA still a new team, PG-Kawhi have played with each other the most in their entire career this year. Harden/WB getting adjusted to their roles. Theis is a brand new back up & hasnt played much in recent years. Mann has been playing out of postion all these years. Coffey barely played all last year. Norm also a slow starter who ramps up as the year progresses. But even now they're winning games & blowing teams out.

1. Hm... I still have this impression that majority of analysis was based on games Clippers haven't figured out (losing streak). 2. I still agree about not being able to execute lob/skip passes. Basically non existent 3. I agree about Zubac's hands. Dude misses catching way too many balls on offense. He is bad at passing. He got better on low post isos, though. 4. I don't see why do you think playing on isos is bad for playoffs? As a matter of fact, in playoffs opposing defenses shut down your schemes and force you to play iso. And if Clippers are good at it, that's fine. I think Clippers have one bigger flaw. They are not long team anymore. They will have issues with crafty tall players, like Holmgren, Porzingis, KAT/Minessota and above all Jokic. Those are where the real issue is. They shot purely against the Lakers but partially it's because of a lot of missed FG in the paint. Why? Well AD, Lebron, Vando, Christian Wood are long defenders. That's the real issue with the Clippers.

I’m not saying we need him but if the clippers got John Collins from the Jazz he can defend rebound decent shooter with hops and the Jazz got like 4 good PF we got so much talent we could easily get him for Bones Hyland, PJ Tucker, a 2nd rounder if we get him weather he’s off the bench or move him to a starter Zu Collins Khawi PG Harden Or he’s off the bench That’s a very good defense Harden can throw it up to either with Khawi and pg on the wing Finally u could have Mann Russ Powell Coffey and Theis off the bench🔥🔥

They are pretenders. One guard initiated offense without great pick and rolls, consistent shooting wings or a second offense initiator never penetrade the playoff-level defense. That's how the LeBron's Lakers beat them, and it will happen again when they meet in the playoffs.
