I used to play this game where you have like 6 people and One person has a ball and another person has a ball and they would each throw it to someone else in the circle, but you can't throw to the person right by you. So you have to be on the lookout for both baseball it's real fun!

Great video. Dont know if the rule is still in effect, but in the old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium the original home of the Atlanta Braves they had a big red sign with all capital letters in white that said no pepper games.

I usually play scoops. You get on your knees or stand up and you throw scoops to each other and you go to a certain amount of numbers like five if they miss the scoop the other person gets a point and say you're going up to five and when a person gets that number five you win

Whereas pepper will hone your hand-eye coordination, especially when the tosser is throwing in odd locations trying to get you to pop out, I prefer a drill (or hitting aid) that dials me into hitting the center of the ball (or just below it) instead of the top half. I realize that you are AIMING for the top half in pepper so that when you get up to bat you can simply shift your focus to the center and hopefully hit it but I think it's important to "practice how you play." I want my kids practicing hitting just below center. Feedback is simple and unambiguous ("Are you swinging too high? Of course, I'm hitting slow grounders. How about now, you hit a sharp grounder. Still a little high - maybe a quarter inch.") and the results, stinging hits, are best, imo. The players with great hand-eye will be able to adjust; those that can't don't go very far. I've got my eye on the SKLZ graphite wand but I worry that the kids can't hold it steady enough - it's counter-productive to focus on a bouncing ball. The rotating aids are a good attempt but sometimes prove to be less than durable and clumsy portable. Currently, I focus on links in the chain link fence. It helps my aim but only to a point; no feedback.

I had a highschool coach who told me he would always listen to a sort of clicking sound or some kind of noise like rain falling or a pattern noise on his headphones to get In a rhythm before the game do you think that could be helpful to do before games or have you heard of anything like this?
