[Marilyn & Glenn Gregory] Here's to you [Paul Young] Raise a glass for everyone [Marilyn & Glenn Gregory] Here's to them [Paul Young, Marilyn & Glenn Gregory] Underneath that burning sun Do they know it's Christmas time at all? [Chorus: All] Feed the world Feed the world Feed the world Let them know it's Christmas time again Feed the world Let them know it's Christmas time again

I'm a 80's kid; born in the 60's. This brilliant little song tried to make the whole a better place and launched a movement. Even now when I hear it again it never fails to move me. God bless Sir Bob Geldof. As I recall he recounted that one of the first people onboard was the late George Michael who had just become a big star. Geldof said once everyone knew George was involved they all joined in. RIP George. And God Bless Us Everyone. Try to make this world a better place

I read in a Rolling Stone article that Freddie wasn't asked because Queen was sort of black balled by the music industry in 1984 for playing in South Africa during the time of apartheid. when the United Nations had asked entertainers to boycott the country, and Britain's musician union banned its members from playing there. Seems kind of silly today, but it was a pretty big deal at the time.
