When he said i can see you nodding your head right now . Thats how my puppy gets with my toddler when she makes him chase her to long starts nipping at her all annoyed. And knocks out right after lol

I live on the Upper East Side in NYC where there's so many dogs, I can't tell you how many times owners don't let them sniff ANYTHING. Just take your dog to the store while getting groceries and think it fills the check box of going on a walk just because you don't have a high energy dog... It's so bad then they wonder why the dog is sad or frustrated. That said i love seeing the people who let their dog sniff around a lot while keeping them away from anything harmful. It's even soothing.

When you talk about a scavenger hunt to find kibble around the house and that that is also a great way to feed your dog, won't the dog be waiting and confused when there's not a feeding at the normal time? How does the dog know that the scavenger hunt earlier meant "No food in my mealtime bowl tonight"?

I know a lot of people have done away with dog bowls completely. The new thing is that they’re made to work for all their food. If they don’t have the habit ingrained in them all they know is a full belly, which they still got from the game.

I have a 2 month old puppy and before any meal I train him using his kibble as treats. Then his reward for the play/training will be a stack of the kibble in a slow feeder. That’s my mental exercise right there; then I make him chase whatever toy he wants (attached to his leash) and make him run around the house. After his vaccines I will make him walk or run (shortly) around our neighborhood. When he is 1year+ he will jog with me twice a day, which is the reason I got a Husky in the first place. I hate the puppy stage so far because I just want a jogging buddy and he can’t go out yet 😭😭

And if you just feed a HUSKY puppy with no exercise they’ll become so destructive and vocal, wouldn’t want that. A tired dog is a good dog.

@@immunityvi6968 😂 I want to do so much with my puppy and all the sports (bar obedience) require them to be like 18 months old so their growth plates are closed. I'm just enjoying training her right now getting ready for it like getting her used to the harnesses for pulling and the bike attachment and stuff. Desensitise her to areas we will go when she's big

My dog shakes so bad when she hears people lighting fire crackers and fireworks and when there is thunder... she's terrified... tried just about everything to relax her... nothing has been successful... she is Australian Shepard black lab mixed with German Shepard... my dog we had to say goodbye to 4 years ago was also this way... she was a Rottweiler Black lab mix... very large in size... at least putting a large T-shirt and tying a knot making it snug to her body calmed her somewhat...

What if your dog is really old...? My dog really only sleeps and cuddles with me or my mom but thats about it. Shell only bark if we leave her alone or somone invades her territory.
