The s650 mustang might be an exception, where you have to remove the entire car just to get acces to the rear springs.

Not going to lie rust isn’t an issue if you know what your doing. Get a good impact or use that and a mixture of heat and PB spray. Rust will be scared of you now!😂

@@Grand_PrixGTP You have should have seen the exhaust studs on my 20 yearold winter beater. But rust on my car isn't as much of an issue, as it was on my old crappy motorcycle! Somehow all nuts and bolts were completely rusted through, and snapped right off. Bikes are a pita to work on anyways🤮

As a ford technician please don't put anti seize on your wheel hubs. They will fuck your wheel studs and allow the lug nuts to be overtorqued and you can snap wheel studs super easy.

And other technicians will say different. This debate has gone too long. It really doesn’t matter and it’s been proven, just add torque value and don’t cake it either.

I work as a tech at a Midas and whenever a car comes in and they have anti seize on the studs, we clean it all off, that stuff allows for over torque and makes the lugs prone to backing off. Multiple of our customers have had other shops put anti seize on their studs and after torquing they’ve had their wheels fall off. It’s just sketchy and dumb.

Man, I love to do tint on my cars, but the only problem is when I first had my car originally registered in California cops would just get you on the tint every single day, especially the meter mate up in NorCal. And whenever I was down in SoCal visiting other family and friends, I would always have the windows rolled down.😂

First mod I did to my s650 was an x-pipe Steeda progressive springs Steeda stop the hop basic kit BMR camber/caster plates BMR makes quality things don’t sleep in them.

You can get a can of fluid film for after you clean up that bit of surface rust and spritz it on the hubs, it will keep it from rusting and keep the wheels from getting stuck to the hub. Or, spray it on anything thats prone to rusting, good stuff.

You can do the rear springs off a jack. Just do one side at a time. I jacked the car up in front of the rear wheel and then put another jack under the control arm. Once it was loose just let the control arm jack down and the spring comes out. Put the new one in jack the control arm back in place and bolt up the. Repeat on the other side

you just loosen up IRS bolts and you can get the springs out. once you have lower springs in, you can get them out without even doing that. once your IRS was down you shouldve done the "stop hop kit"

All you had to do was remove the 2 bolts holding in the shock from the body. Control arm drops plenty far enough to slip the old spring out and new one in. Easy peasy.

Ive gotta comment on this. What is Drews hangup with fitment and ride hight??? There is nothing wrong with the hight on that mustang, came from the factory the way it was engineered to be. Its like hes seeing stuff wrong thats not even there. Hey drew take this- i got a Fiero GT and put a coke can on top of all four tires and can read the letters from both sides of the car. It came that way and dosent bother me a bit lol.
