Fantastic stuff. I've always wondered whether Owen's decision at an early age, to take the decision to teach a subject that needed to be taught, but in a niche that everyone else shied away from out of self-preservation and reputation management, essentially bought him disproportionate(and well-deserved) goodwill for decades based on how much people respected and appreciated it. Shows the importance of making courageous decisions in critical moments. Jordan Peterson I guess is very similar in his decision to stand up for freedom of speech when he did.

I struggle with the New Age/spiritual metaphysics but generally respect the thrust of these ideas. I wonder if Owen has checked out Sam Harris' Waking Up which gives a thesis explaining spirituality but in terms of a more rational/scientific approach. Probably has, but worth a thought. I think it's an important counterpoint.

I don't disagree that teaching your events will spiritually elevate yourself but theres also immense value in doing a retreat where you cut off all external things and people. I highly recommend it Owen! Find like a 7 day silent meditation retreat where you cant use your phone/internet or speak with anyone. Just spend 7 days with your eyes closed. You will face inner resistances you weren't even aware existed.

Very important message. I have definitely been leaning more towards the spiritual than the materialistic side in my life so far but as I've gotten older I started to see more of the value and also necessity of focusing on the material side of things. I love the idea that spiritual practice, or inner work more generally, should ultimately help you in mastering your outer life as well. We live in both worlds. "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" Neither is good or bad, just two sides of the *same* coin.

January 2024 - if you are an empath, if you connect to your purpose, you will work 10x harder than anyone else. You can see all the blind spots of people who just hustle and grind and are results oriented but may yell and do bad things - you are here for a spiritual experience and a physical one. Don’t spend too much time in one, both count - he worked so hard for periods of time, where his idea of a break is just looking at a cloud for 30seconds - a truly world class teacher can elevate the room to where everyone is buzzing. They can hold everyone’s state in an amazing way - you do this through action, not mediation, sitting at home

When you read aloud about the vine and the branches from John 15 it brought tears to my eyes a few moments before you said that it often does that to you. Incredibly potent. Today I’m going to go back and read that section again, and reread the entirety of John. I received a kind of strange but wonderful treatment called " The Silent Mind" process, it's basically eliminating the negative voices feelings, that we carry in our bodies/cells that sometimes pop into our heads unconsioucsly which is rooted back from our ancestors, before the conception and the time in our mother's womb, also it eliminates the tribe blockage, which can be seen in the family, the society or even a country, one of the reasons I had a great desire to move to USA, was probably to move away from this bonfire, everything needs to be shared mentality I come from, which makes me bad at competing with others, because I am conditioned to think it's wrong to be a bit on the competitive side. But I received and it has truly helped, less negative voices, and I am less affected by others in a negative way, because a lot of relations with others are due to traumas/ tribal stuff. The 90 days challenge will be a bit of a challenge though, not sure what category The Art of war by Sun Tzu is under though

Whats the universal thing we all value in one another? Its more than charisma. Its life. We had it as children so we remember it if its not there anymore. Christianity has been hijacked and sold as a way to live forever in exchange for performing a few rites, maybe making some donations. However, Christ came into the world so those who didnt have life could have it, and those who had it could have it more abundantly. Christ was the most learned about what kind of inner atmosphere life can flurish in, and what thoughts, behaviors and beliefs choke it out. The flesh profitith nothing, it is the spirit that quickenith. Why is it people who grow up poor are often so driven and have strong personalities? Beware the bread of the Pharisees. The only thing you have to fear is temptation. People are controlled by gratifying their selfish wants. Thats probably why people self-sabotage when you set them up to be successful, Owen. They know that they wont grow if you hand them everything. The light within them wont get brighter. It will die out because its not needed.

You’re telling me I listened to Eckhart on repeat made videos in some of the most beautiful places about enlightenment, meditated in the mountains. Then stopped and started to focus on money and fitness and now you’re saying to stop meditating and focus on money and fitness. all that trauma release, meditation, reading... is to get back to the real world and deal with more.. I deal with stress better.. I look at people and see... "oh you are just like me five,ten, a year ago... And I begin to realize how repulsive I wasㅋㅋㅋ it's like a fat person getting abs and looking at other people overweight.. OMG that was what I looked like..read books, meditate, watch videos that help your body/mind/spirit, exercise, sleep well, meditate.. rinse and repeat

Owen I love your videos but you cannot make those statement about things like psychedelics if you have never tried them. I promise you you cannot possibly conceive of where it takes you. There is no parallel to it in day to day life. To describe what happens would be like trying to explain the colour red to a blind person. My comment on 16:40, a soccer player obviously learn more about the game from playing in a competitive match rather than a hard training on the weight room. But, weight training is what separates elite players from Sunday league players. An elite can't be secular on weight training or competitive match so to speak. Sadly in the spiritual world, major religion included, what really happening is secularism of real life and spiritual life. That's why I follow Owen and Sadhguru whose teaching are not secular.
