If the Apple algorithm is becoming more like Google's, is there a possibility that linking to an app in the App Store could help boost rankings for a specific keyword?

I did some looking into that earlier in the year and it doesn’t look like that’s happening yet. Apple still has a long way to go before the algorithms align, but all of that said, driving traffic to your app’s page is rarely bad.

How long after making ASO changes should we wait to see results before making more changes?

I’d wait at least a week, probably even two for the App Store and three for Google Play.
