I didn't lose a lot of weight fast either. And I only lost about 20 pounds total so far after nine months. Go slow and don't worry about what everyone says. You are you and will progress at your own pace. Right now your body is fighting against your change in diet but it will settle soon. Don't give up or get too discouraged please.

You sre so amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I have ganed 7 lbs since January on carnivore but healed my IBS, am perimenopausal, joint pain has gone down and sleep is still night sweats but getting better not waking as much. I'm trying HRT patch to see if it helps my brain fog, sleep and stalls. I'm making mistakes constantly with emails for work etc. It's like I dont see it until I've sent it. Ugh. You're doing so well. I'm 212 lbs at OBGYN office and started carnivore at 205 lbs, 5'7" tall, 52 years old. I'm hopeful about the weight. It's tiring carrying it around.

My circadian rythem has always been messed up. When i had to retire at 53, my body immediately changed to going to bed at 3am and getting up at around noon. 23 years later this is still my pattern and i am fine with it. I have also had insomnia all my life, even as a child. I take magnesium and melatonin at bedtime and it helps alot. I have fibromyalgia so i wake up at odd times and have trouble getting back to sleep.

I'm so intrigued by OMAD after hearing you talk about it! I believe that you are undereating and will eventually hit another plateau but I think the only thing you'll have to do to fix that is a day or two of refeeding 2MAD before going back to OMAD. Maria Emmerich has a program where she says to do 3 days a week of a modified fast, 3 days a week of maintenance level and 1 day of refeeding about 400-600 calories above your maintenance level. I'm wondering if I could do a day of refeeding and six days of OMAD to get the same results. Three different meal plans in a week was too complex! The sleep note about OMAD is also compelling since I struggle with sleep too. Thank you for the thought provoking update! Wonderful to hear that you are making good progress in your health journey and I might add that you look absolutely radiant! ❤
@Carnivoreclaire
@Carnivoreclaire 27 күн бұрын
Thank you Ellie. I’ve done a lot of research and it seems most are not experiencing a plateau (people who have been doing omad for 2 years plus). Interestingly, the day after eating cheese at midnight I didn’t lose or gain weight I think that’s because I didn’t get a chance to go into autaphogy, which seems to be the important part of fasting for weight loss. I plan on going back to 2mad once I’ve lost enough weight in order to maintain but yes if I plateau I can trick my metabolism into losing again. It’s all a journey. I find the walking also speeds up the weight loss. Thank you for saying I look radiant. Having a low confidence day today so that helps ❤️

@@Carnivoreclaire Oh wow, so folks eating just 1000 calories a day are sustaining that for an extended period without issue? I truly had never heard that before. I have trouble getting enough calories in one meal so I never thought I could stay with OMAD. You might have put my mind at ease a bit to try it again. Thank you!
@Carnivoreclaire
@Carnivoreclaire 27 күн бұрын
@@ellieb2914 I think the trick is eating 1000 calories and going into autophagy daily. There’s a female dr I forget her name but she did a video on whether omad is safe. If you find that video read the comments. That’ll put your mind at rest. It’s worth trying even for a couple of days to see if it’s helpful. If not you can stop. Good luck.

You look great. I have a sleep disorder too. I may try magnesium at night so I don’t have to nap during the day. It’s a battle finding the right combinations of what works best, but yes it’s way easier than other diets. Congrats on the weight loss. I don’t have a gall bladder and I heard OMAD is not a good choice if you’ve had yours out, but I may try it down the road. Getting into autophagy really helps with loose skin from what I hear.
@Carnivoreclaire
@Carnivoreclaire 27 күн бұрын
Thank you. I’m not sold on autophagy helping loose skin because I fast daily and my loose skin is already developing and it’s much worse than last time when I didn’t go into autophagy. Good luck if you try omad!

Hi Claire! So many people dont know that taking Magnesium at night is NOT a good thing, and depending on what type of Magnesium matters! You may be taking the wrong type of Magnesium. Magnesium is an electrical mineral, it is an electrolyte meaning it gives the body energy that we need as well as being crucial to many other bodily functions. There is a channel called “Kick it Naturally” on KZfaq. Check him out if you haven’t already! The channel is amazing and so informative in a very easy way to follow. People also don’t understand that blood serum tests only indicate the levels of vitamins and minerals in our bloodstream and NOT what is actually in our tissues on the cellular level which IS EVERYTHING it’s our DNA! So a blood test may show that your levels are fine BUT that’s not what’s really going on! It is so worth looking into.
@Carnivoreclaire
@Carnivoreclaire 25 күн бұрын
Thanks Kathy. I take magnesium with 4 different kinds in it. I tried glycinate before and it gave me chest pain this does not but it helps with constipation. Yeah I’m aware off the blood test stuff you mentioned, it’s frustrating when dr says everything looks fine when I know it’s not!

You're eating a 1000 calories a day? Is so little calories sustainable? I think if/when you start eating more calories you'll gain weight. Best to eat the calories of the ideal weight you want to be letting your body get acclimated to those new calories, 1400-1600, then under eating at 1000 calories.
