Having big yards for big dogs is amazing, but as you said in an earlier video or IG post, that yard is going to get boring after 2 weeks max. My younger dog loves her walks so, so, so much... Then, when we are back after around 1 hour, I am tired, but she's ready to go for some vigorous playtimes and sprints in the garden with the older dog. That's enough to wipe out the older dog, bless her. Once THAT is accomplished, she finishes off with a dip into the water tank. Then, finally, myself, my older dog AND her are tired. In the evening, the same cycle repeats. I admit that she made me love dog walks again; never had a dog who found so much joy in simply leisurely strolling around, stopping to take in the view... There just is something about a Mastiff-y dog's lumbering gait, it's like watching a bear walk, downright calming. Getting her, my first Mastiff-type dog, has been a veritable life changer for me. I had dogs before, but never felt a bond like this. Found your channel soon thereafter, and life has been so much better ever since.

Jason nice video and that vest is amazing. I thought I'd buy that one, but unfortunately sold out. So I still have to wait. I had a boerboel and I had a leather armor made for him. In the winter he pulled a sled and the rest of the year mostly logs. He absolutely loved it, as soon as I picked up the harness he was all set. p.s. i thought Norman was a puppy of yours and your wife but i was wrong about this but liked the videos why? Because the adult dog always teaches the puppy the basic rules of how it works in a pack. Keep it up!

Jason.. In the video you wished the weighted vest vest weighed more. Not sure if anyone suggested the following. Instead of using sand use lead shot. Any gun store should have it in the reloading section. Put the shot in plastic bags then place in canvas bags that came with the vest and then place in the Bruce Wayne’s vest pockets. (If the lead shot spills it’s a pain cleaning them up.) It will add the weight you are looking for.

Hey Jason. Love the videos on Bruce Wayne. I had a South African Boerboel. He was 180 pounds and lean as all he ate was raw. He was also in Schutzhund and was a few in his breed at that time that got his BH. Was also a awesome Therapy dog. Great thing about having him as a Therapy Dog was that I can claim him on tax time. Offset some cost as it's expensive to own a Boerboel if your doing all things correctly. Plus the joy he gave to those in nursing homes and kids was great. He knew what to do. I miss him dearly when he passed in 2016. As far as bugs I used to spray him with a product call "Skin So Soft". You can dilute it with some water. It smells good and repels bugs. I live in Florida and we have a lot of bugs here. You may want to try it. Not sure if it's still sold but it was from the Avon company. At the time it was good for people and my dog had no problem with it. As always read the label as I'm not sure if it's the same formulation as it was in 2000. We used the original but there may be other. Have fun with Bruce Wayne.

How do you drain the puppy's energy ? From what I read, the puppy needs a different type of daily exercise because he is still growing so I need to be careful. I think sometimes I exercise too much with him couse he cries and his back legs hurt so I would love an advice on what would be appropriate. Should I stop playing with the ball and do short walks a few times a day rather than 1 long walk?

Instead of metal plates look at scuba diving shot weights you can get the shot bags from 1 to 5 pounds and and would be more comfortable than a plate as the bags would conform to the body

Hi Jason, before a single thought is expressed, I first must state, that I really enjoy viewing videos on B.W. and to not let you with the feeling of being left out,…. & yourself. I also must first state that I “Do Not” possess, any formal or non-formal training, in either veterinarian or medical disciplines. But what I am proudly able to state, is, that I do possess, that rare and so elusive quality known as “common sense” that is thrown around like it is inherent in all of us simply by being born. Ok… enough with my ramblings and back to being serious, Jason, as you have previously stated as well as it has been a known fact for those who read ….lol…., that there are at least ten large breeds, including the mastiff’s, that are susceptible to joint problems as they age due to poor breeding; poor diet/nutrition, being overweight and lack of exercise. So having stated the obvious, why would you take the risk of imposing a weighted vest be used to tire out “da beast/AKA B.W.” When overtime, this practice could be an unforeseen factor in his demise? I am confident that other forms could be used to tire da beast out, instead of the weighted vest, throwing a stick into your local river/lake and having him run then swim and fetch it over prolonged periods of time, I am pretty damn sure this one function would accomplish the task without undue joint stress on your boy.

So my concern with those buckles is they look like cheap Chinese knockoff buckles of the cobra buckles which could be worse than plastic buckles. (Good plastic buckles are better than cheap metal)
