I've been wanting to create this English lesson for a long time, but wasn't able to get out to do it. I know many of you love to go shopping, and I wanted to help you learn English words and phrases for the different kinds of stores and the different kinds of shops that are in my area.
Finally I was able to go out, and I was able to create a lesson where you can learn the English names for many different types of stores and shops, the vocabulary needed to talk about the things that are sold there, and many other common English phrases that you can use when talking about stores and shops.
I hope you enjoyed this English lesson about stores, shops, and shopping, and that you were able to learn just a little bit more English while watching!
Have a great day!

Hi Bob. I wish I had met you a long time ago when I decided to start learnihg English. You speak so clearly that I understand most of the words you are saying. Sometimes not, but I understand that and that was due to your being so confident with what you are trying to come accross to your audience. The context of what you are saying is all that matters. And as long as your pronunciation of the words are at 99.9 percent good, there is no mistake that you are one of the best English teachers out there. I' m practicing my English now from most of what I've learned from your tutorials and I really think that I'm learning a lot. I wish that you'll make more of those acted out phrasal verbs in the future, and also if you could give more emphasis on prepositions. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge in English. You are helping a lot of people learn English around the world for free. Keep up the good work. Thanks and God bless you more.

When I first found Bob the Canadian's channel and started to watch the lessons I liked only short one. I didn't get tired of them, they did not bother me, they seemed simple to me because they didn't have many new words. And now when I just watched this video not looking in the dictionary, not reading subtitles, may be reading few. And at the end I was like: oh, is that all?!! Ok, I am watching it again. Thank you very much dear teacher!!! I think that the secret of your videos is that they are not only useful and interesting, but also clear, bright ☀️🔥and full of real life!💯🍁😎💝

I'm happy they are helping Julia. I'm glad that you see that even my simpler videos are usually filled with idioms and English phrases that we use in daily life. Sometimes people think the lesson is only about the vocabulary, but in my notes I specifically make sure I use certain phrases as well so that people get more than just the words. In this video there are quite a few of those types of phrases. I also try to include as many images as I can so that people can see and think at the same time. Thanks for recognizing the work I put in! Have a great day! 👕🏪💍

Dear Teacher: Love it. For me, it's interesting to know fresh new stores of abroad countries. In Taiwan, we also have roadside stands. You may see one in the coner of a block in the city but more unique are those appear in the scenery spots around Taiwan. You may get fresh local fruits or vegetables, etc. from farmers directly, and of course, they are in season. Share with you.😊

This lesson was really awesome! Thank you so much, Mr. Bob! It was very interesting, because my native language is Russian, and we have just a few words about stories (like 'store', 'shop', 'mall'). And we don't usually use phrases like 'strip mall' or 'outlet mall'. Some words (like 'bulk food store') can't be translated into Russian, because we don't have these kinds of shops. And when I watch your lessons, I always have a small excursion in Canada. It's very interesting, I think.
