For those that are confused, yes these are all real. They aren't doing this on their own though. They have a set of commands programmed into them to move this way. Though they have upgraded them a bit to visualize their environment and make basic determined decisions to go through a small obstacle coarse and lift objects to test their effectiveness. Slowly but surely robots are advancing.

If it was fake, their feet would be noticeably sliding a little bit and clipping through the floor a little after every single motion. And if the floor was also rendered, you would be able to see repetitive tiling and the dirt on the matt would be repeating itself in the same pattern. None of this is fake, it just looks like it because it looks like an animation, which it technically is but implemented in software onto the robots bringing the motion into reality. this video fucks with my mind it draws the line between what i believe is real and what i believe is CGI
@thespanishinquisition40785 ай бұрын
This video is absolutely real but I can see why it messes with people's minds. What makes you think it might be CGI is the fact that robots in essence think like animation. That is to say, their movements are programmed the same way a 3d model is. So this creates that uncanny feeling in your subconscious because you know that's not how people or animals move. Its subtle but its there. As to why there's no way this is CGI. Well, that's simple. Looking at the reflection, lighting and changes in the carpet, this is waaaaaay above what CGI does nowadays. If BD had invented CGI algorithms good enough to do this, they wouldn't be simulating robots, they'd be selling THAT, and making bank like crazy. And yes, BD does sell software so its not like it'd be a new product for them.
