No need for the crack hack either. Ice bath always brings shells off easily.

I steam my eggs instead of boiling. Makes shell come right off.

Six eggs that's it? Also under the impression that but tapping of the fat side of the egg was to detach the membrane not but it created a small crack.

Devilled eggs dont work well with duck eggs 😅 we tried for Thanksgiving and tried all of the hacks to get perfect eggs. It turned into egg salad

This really does work. But adding baking soda works just as well. And less work.

@@purelychickens I’ve not had much success with the baking soda hack either. I honestly think it has to do with the type of water u have. My mom gave me this funny looking “peeler” back in the 90’s and I still use it…basically u sit a boiled egg on a stand and there’s a plastic accordion type cover…u press the top down hard and fast and it pretty much just blows the egg out of the shell through the stands bottom. It’s works pretty great. I have no idea where she got it and I’ve never seen another one. (I lost her to Covid, so I can’t ask her), I know it’s not gonna work forever, so I’m always on the lookout for ways to peel eggs. 😊

@purelychickens hmmm did you put them in a cold bath? I wonder if it is a difference in the water? High mineral content in our water. The tapping method works really well, I was surprised lol but it seemed like it took me forever haha.
