Levy's guess the elo is basically just "go crazy over his own subs for being 1100". Which is great but there's not much elo guessing going on, they're all the same rating, you're just watching for his reactions.

@@Starguy256 actually, Levy is basically a non-autistic version oh Hikaru. Watching Hikaru or other GM's can be brutal, at least Levy is on the absolute hinge of social awkwardness, he's still a tist but he's the most normal chess boi

An intelligent person, who even plays chess casually, will lose to Alex easily. But then Alex looks like a baby in front of Nakamura. Then a certain someone else called Nakamura "decent" (with good intention I know). The depth of knowledge is vast. The world is vast.

Magnus is a bit better than Hikaru, and everyone else in the elite like Wesley, Anish, Mame, MVL, Nepo, Fabiano, Ding, Devon, etc, but they are very close actually, You can't really say Magnus is in a whole different level. To me it seems like every 200 ELO points is a completely new tier, like you will lose 85 draw 12 and win 3 out of 100 games against someone who is 200 points above you. Hikaru is 700 points above Alexandra, so chances of her drawing a game against Hikaru are really low like maybe once every 100 games, and winning is basically 0 (if both are seriously playing to win). Alex will of course destroy 99.9% of chess players in the planet. Chess is probably the activity with more levels of mastery, they say to reach a GM status in chess is the equivalent of getting 2 phDs in completely different sciences. Yet most GMs have financial struggles, and other pros like IMs who have dedicated decades to the game are piss poor, only the elite have a notable income.

I believe there is a fundamental error in this "game", what I know... online sites do not use Elo rating (it is FIDE), they use Glicko as far as I know... So, it must be Glicko Guesser or more neutral... Rating Guesser... :-)

I feel like the best strategy for the guessing game is to pick the rating that you think the game is. I can’t imagine a case where you would pick a different number. Maybe I’m wrong though.

Probably one of the reasons miss Botez always seems to hit lower ELO than Hikaru is because of her nature of underestimating and minimizing her opponents when she's playing. Then that same mentality is used by her subconsciously in this type of situation hence the results.
