I've always felt that one of the biggest mistakes Arsenal made the last 10 years was selling him to Werder Bremen.

There's no signing that could make more sense for arsenal than this. Hes perfect for us. Even without the fan sentiment, you can tell he's the exact ''goalscoring winger'' profile we need right now. He always had a natural talent and was so so good for us whenever he came on back then. Arteta spoke so highly of him even back when he used to be arsenal captain as a player. It forced Wenger to play this kind of team for years when Chelsea Liverpool Manu were beefing up with world class signing. Manchester City money power added a new dimension. I honestly don't understand why we sent him on loan to West Brom in 2014/15. It made no sense. He was clearly about to explode just like Saka did and Wenger thought "let me send him to Tony Pulis" it was the ultimate stab in the back. It was clear that he was fitter and more dynamic than Chamberlain and also a better finisher. We offered Chamberlain the big contract and sold this guy for peanuts🙁
