Ehhh? XD... Well you're lucky you had a friend... Me soloing it is like... Hard... But I really did killed it by trying other weapons. (Talking about the guild quest. Village devil jho is easy) Great sword - not my thing. I won but mentally exhausted. Long sword - hahaha I killed it, fighting all out. Sas - too easy, but time consuming. About 15-40 min. Mobile weapons sure is my thing XD. Dual Blade - 15-30. In my opinion, it's kinda hard to fight him with low range... Hammer - easy as always, smashing head is satisfying. 10-20 min. Slightly mentally exhausted. Hunting Horn - I never tried. So I'd say, it's defeat. HH is kinda useless for a solo player ike meh. Lance - Easy and handy. None of his attack hit me XD. Evasion set. 25-35 min. Gunlance - All out. And I won. Never tried range weapons like bow and bowguns. These weapons don't make sense with my fighting style. I developed my technique btw. XD. When I'm serious, I'll play without using my mind so much --- mindless; improving my reflexes drastically. It's like, my brain isn't working. My hands have own eyes and brains to respond.

I haven't tried it up until now XD, the reason why I said that range weapons doesn't make sense in my playstyle is because playing range weapons needs awareness to your bullets, sub monsters, and accuracy. I'm fighting mindless all the times so considering the ammo type is hard for me lol, I usually ran out of ammo without even noticing...

Especially when qurupeco does its roar I instantly abandon the quest lol

@@Hideyoshi235 1. You don't really run that much and the maps aren't really that disturbing 2. There have been many old maps that have a crap ton of climbing (I.e Heaven's Mount) 3. The mini map isn't that big. I don't know how small your TV is, but the mini map is less than 10% of the screen. 4. Not everyone just wants to hunt. Some people (including me) like details and hunting isn't the sole reason MH is fun, although its obviously a big part of it. Some people like exploring, seeing monsters, discovering things, etc. 5. People don't want to ruin their hunt just because you had to load when you're going to a different area (Mounting and getting blown to a different area, accidentally killing the monster in the midst of area transferring and being unable to get your body carves, etc) 6. You don't have to be so aggressive with your opinion, everyone has different opinions. Just because they're different from yours, doesn't mean you're free to be an asshole.

Keep in mind HP scaling didn't exist in previous games, so a lot of solo runs or duo runs are made with 4 players HP Monsters

It’s not Foresight Slash that makes a hunt faster, but the skills you can slot in the build. Try using just this 5 skills instead of the 10 we are used on Iceborne (no agitator, no critical boost, no peak performance, ecc.) and you’ll see that it’s gonna take more to finish the hunt ;)

It isn't like MHW didn't have the same hunter/monster interaction, it still does and it has also expanded to its environment but pre gen 4 is when there's absolutely no filters between you and the monster. Every fight is just you and the monster, mano-a-mano. Old players know this and truly understand the pain of clunkiness and the bliss of overcoming it.

That is because this game was japanese only release(fanmade translation) and in japanese games latin font is always spaced out because characters take double the memory space to cover all the kanji characters so single byte characters have space in between them

3U on the Wii U was in HD, though really low poly... I suggest giving the old games a try, they’re really good, start with 4U, forget about GU, it’s not to everyone’s liking and doesn’t explain anything at all

@@lightbrand_ I gotta agree 3U I wouldn’t reccomend to start with due to the underwater mechanic Gen and GenU is a whole different beast But 4U is a good balance 😁

I didnt mind gen or genU at all! I quite liked the hunter arts. Its definitely the black sheep of the recent releases, being much more ridiculous with its hunter styles and whatnot, but I really enjoyed the prowler and palico system in it, much more convenient than 4U’s. But for a more boiled down real hunting experience, 4U is great for a first time, and maybe if its on sale or youre feeling curious id suggest picking up 3U because its neat to see where the series came from. The weapons feel super dated, but the charm is there. Also no cats, but instead little buddies.

@@angellara7040 It's not that you can't in world, it's that there's the option. I tended to leave it on in world because of how convenient it was to gauge how things were going. Getting to rise, I have a better understanding of how the modifiers from weakspots actually work, so I might have it turned off there where'd in world I left it on.

Back then when I play F2 I'm completely clueless, only play until elder dragons. but haven't explore anything beyond that. also can't really start on unite because of the saves from different region. Too lazy to start over again in unite. Luckily P3rd saves the day
