Do you remember this recipe? Biscuit balls with boozy sour cherries. They are super simple to make and I don't even use sugar for them. Ingredients (20 small pieces):
• 100 g butter biscuits (petit beurre)
• 12 g cocoa
• 25 ml sour cherry liqueur
• 25 g honey
• 25 g melted 82% butter
• 2 ml rum flavour
• A teaspoon of grated orange peel (untreated)
• boozy sour cherries
• Coconut or ground walnut for rolling - 50 g
I used petit beurre biscuits for this recipe and I advise you to use the same. We smash them in a small kitchen blender. Add the cocoa over them. Blend for 2 minutes until the biscuits and cocoa powder become a fine, perfectly homogeneous powder.
Remove the blender lid and add:
- Sour cherry liqueur. If you want to omit alcohol it can be replaced with milk, but this recipe usually contain alcohol.
- Honey. Honey is perfect for sweetening this balls. And I also make biscuit salami with honey instead of sugar. (link to the recipe at the end of the video).
- Melted butter.
- And the flavors. For the dessert to turn out good, we must not be shy with the flavors. We put a whole ampoule of rum essence and a teaspoon of orange peel.
Put the lid on the blender and mix for a few more seconds until everything turns into a paste.
Transfer to a bowl, and with a teaspoon take small amounts (10 g) of which we will form candies, with a cherry in the middle. We give through coconut or ground walnut.
You can also use grapes in alcohol, hamburg variety. If you want to make them too, put them in the same way as cherries in alcohol. You have the recipe on the channel. It's just that brandy is used instead of vodka.
If you make the balls small, you will get about 20 pieces.
