Sensei, I'm having a doubt Which sentence is correct? 魚を食べたい? Or 魚を食べる? Because it has an object i.e. 魚。 And , is this formal sentence correct?:- 先生、魚はいかがですか? And what is the formal version of? みくも来る? And ゆみも食べる?

It was very interesting video, but I'm not sure that "Do you want me to to something?" is a good translation for this grammar construction. The grammar topic was clear thanks to Japanese examples, but "Do you want me to do smth" sounds wrong, I suppose. I mean, when you make this question it is like reaskig. For instance, somebody is not glad to see you on his party and do everything to spoil your motto or something. And when you understand it you can ask "Do you want me to leave the party?". It is something irritating, when we want to know exactly what this person wants from you. It's not a help. Or "I want you to clean the room while I do the disches". It is a demand. May be English is not enought to show the real sense but anyway... :) But the video itself was super! みく先生、私たちのために頑張ってありがとうございます。

I have to say there is a very confusing point in this video. At 6:38 you ask what '一緒に行こうか’ means, and explain what it means (do you want me to go with you?). But then go on to explain that '行こうか’ means 'shall I go for you?' So... these two explanations seem to contradict each other, and this is not explained. Could you explain this?

Hey Miku! Thanks for another great video. I have a small question: You know how you can ask someone to lend you a hand by saying 「手を貸してくれる?」 If you wanted to offer someone a hand with something, could you say 「手を貸してあげようか?」 or would that sounds a bit weird or rude? いつもありがとう!

Good question !! People can understand you, but I wouldn’t use てあげようか?when I offer a help as てあげる is like “I will give you this action “ so it might sound a bit like you are talking down or you’re talking to a little kid.

Krapho You are correct! I’m native Japanese. 😉
@ayu2274genki

Simply Me If the question is 一緒に行こうか? then that means Shall we go together? because of the word 一緒に which means together. If the question is simply 行こうか? then that also means Shall we go together? if you are with someone else. weird? Lol because we often drop subject in every day conversation so the subject could mean both I or WE. But don’t worry! Contextually you would easily know which one is correct because you know who the person is talking to. By the way if you’re by yourself, you might wanna talk to yourself 行こっか? which kind of means Why don’t l just go?

To strangers I would imagine that saying 「一緒に写真を撮ってもいいですか?」would be better Or informally - 「一緒に写真撮っていい?」 Also be careful with the word とる when writing. The kanji 取るis for when you are taking (getting) an item.撮る is for taking pictures.
