Note: On most trucks lifting the truck bed is sometimes easier than dropping the tank.

Boy that's a real jewel you got there buddy😁 Ford had a recall on the gas tanks on that model and looks like yours got replaced.👍👍

That was a very good purchase. I have a 2000 manual transmission that I just put a fuel pump in it. Also plugs and wires will need to be changed if they haven't already. Plus gas tank recall on the tank straps.

If I can, I have a spare $10 Ebay electric fuel pump, I disconnect the fuel filter and hook the cheap pump to drain tank, takes a bit of time, but it beats wrestling 10 gallons of fuel that's probably bad after sitting for two years. Nice score, everybody needs a going to the dump truck, I don't care who ya are. Sup Dan...

Yea..it would have been much better to dump the old fuel... I call it fire pit fuel. Lol.. next time I'll pump it out!

@@ProjectDanH Fire pit fuel...I like it. I only mentioned as poor idling is usually due to turned gasoline. I got an old ford truck, I gotta get going, and you can smell that varnish smell as you near the filler neck. LOL, swear I just parked it a couple months ago, wife said more like 10 years...LOL.

Mine has crank no start. Battery is good. I hope its not the fuel pump. I will start in fuel filter. I hope its only the fuel filter.

I've had my 4.2 F150 for 6 years now. Was my uncles before then. New GEM module, plugs, wires, coil pack various other odds and ends. Starting to get a long crank and know this is coming. Yikes
