Dock Walk and Talk - Stuart, Florida TrawlerFest 2023

In March of 2023 we attended TrawlerFest in beautiful Stuart, Florida and for the first time since 2020, JMYS had a boat in the show! This video was filmed on Saturday, March 4th, the second to last day of the boat show. Follow along as JMYS brokers Jeff Merrill and Mark Pittman show you around!
Attendees loved the short scenic walk to the docks, stopping to take photos and watch herons, cranes and osprey’s hunting in the sand bars along the way, and keeping their eyes peeled for manatees. The water was beautiful, and the air temperature was a comfortable 85 degrees, thanks to a steady breeze that kept the humidity at bay.
Our Nordic Tug 42 listing, Fog Dog was a busy destination, staffed with Katy Boyle on the dock and Elle Conwell in the cockpit as the welcoming committee/shoe security, both directing people inside to broker Mark Pittman. Many attendees commented that they had never been aboard a Nordic Tug before and loved the quality of the interior wood, open galley/saloon area, and the natural light that poured in from the pilothouse above. The stunning views from the flybridge allowed them to check out all the boats in the show from a bird’s eye view!

Captain Chris gives a lot of good free information just like you do I appreciate both of you and your channels. It’s very helpful for us that know nothing about boating but hope to jump in soon.

John: Not as many boats as we used to have pre-2020, but we are seeing more activity and agree, Baltimore should have more to see

JP: The Kadey Krogen 50 Open is a great trawler. Fleming 65 was very popular and the three North Pacific's always had a lot of traffic. Two Nordic Tug 42s and four Ranger Tugs, a little bit of variety and don't forget the tents and classroom experience. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the show run thru, I don’t think I have the patience’s for seminars but I’m sure there is plenty of info there. Maybe I can make Baltimore this year….. the pre purchase of tickets has always put me off. Are thru still doing that? Cheers Warren

Warren: Thank you for your note. They do have passes for the docks and for the seminars. You can sign up for what you want. Not aware of any boat shows that don't have a gate charge for admission - let me know if I can help get you in at Baltimore - don't want you not to come over something like that, not my show, but I want to encourage you, not have you be discouraged

Any word on how many boats will be there this year?

Gretz: The current inventory is updated on trawlerfest.com, always subject to change. JMYS will have the Nordhavn 50 Grey Goose and Selene 55 Finish Grade to tour. I was told that the dock spaces are sold out, there is a waiting list for the total number of available slips. Hope you can make it!

PD: That is a sport fisher that lives in the marina, I'm not sure what brand, size or model - not part of the TrawlerFest show

Peter: Not a lot of inventory so hard to get brands like Nordhavn in a show if no one has one to display. Hopefully there will be more boats at the Anacortes TF coming up in May
